I bonded with my partner, Justin, over the shared love of animals and music. We are known as The Lovebyrds and we offer petcare for a wide variety of animals! 🐶🐱🐮🐔🦆🐴🐍🕷🐠🐐🐑🐎🐕🦺🐈🐓🦜 I grew up with a yellow lab, Brandy, and a cat, Felix, who both passed when I was young. I am a lifelong animal lover and care for pets like they are my own family. I have 20+ years experience in house sitting, pet sitting, plant care, professional services and personal assistance. I provide pet sitting in your home with the option of overnight stays, drop-in visits, dog walking, off-leash hikes with well-trained pups, vet visits, transport and customized care. I have had the pleasure of taking care of many different animals of all sizes, ages and temperaments. This includes dogs, cats, birds, chickens, horses, goats, chameleons and fish. I value your peace of mind and am happy to work with you to provide the level of care you prefer. Laura was a wonderful sitter for our kitty. She was extremely communicative, gave us real-time updates on her timing and the visit, and left a great summary of her visit and how our kitten was doing with a number of photos. Laura is responsible and responsive and clearly a real lover of animals. We'd recommend her to any caring pet owners!

Laura has taken care of my beagle and golden retriever on many occasions, both short term and long term. My dogs ADORE her! She has such a gentle and intuitive way with animals, and they listen to her, trust her, and love her in return. I love all dogs, breeds and sizes. I like to know what your relationship and routine is like so that your dog feels comfortable, safe and familiar with the care I provide. I want your dog to be comforted when they miss you, have lots of fun exercizing and receive the customized care your furry family deserves to keep them happy and healthy. I really appreciate knowing how your dog interacts with other people and animals, any fears or habits they have, and of course their favorite toys and your house rules.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks, runs, hikes, to the beach, to the dog park, for a spin in my car, playing with their toys, encouraging food behavior with proper training, and giving the best ear scratches and belly rubs!

Availability
Between myself and Justin, we have a wide availability to fit your needs as a pet care team. We usually have availability in mornings & afternoons for drop in visits, as well as most evenings. I am located in south county serving this area and east side primarily. Justin is located in Live Oak serving most of Santa Cruz.
