Experienced & Enthusiastic Vet Tech

Pet care experience

Experienced and Enthusiastic Veterinary Technician! Pet care professionals able to provide quality care for you furbabies! We have a loving home with 2 kids, 1 dog, 4 cats, 2 Turtles, 2 Leopard Geckos, 1 Bearded Dragon and several Budgie Bird. We understand the attachment most have with their pets, these are our kids! We also understand how hard it is to leave your kids in someone else’s care. We make an effort to get to know each baby as an individual. We quickly learn their personalities, quirks, and all their needs to ensure we can do the absolute best for them. If you book with me, you can expect a loving family environment, lots of updates and pictures, also, more love and cuddles than your furbaby will know what to do with!! Need help potty training your furbaby? I specialize in potty training, usually in 3 days or less! Call me for rates!! Im also very flexible, so if you have unusual needs or special circumstances let me know and we will work something out! :) We dont just handle dogs and cats. We are trained in all exotic care!! So whether it's a lizard, bird, chinchilla, prairie dog, swan, chicken, pig, you name it we can handle it! About this sitter: I’ve been in the Veterinary field since 2008 working in the kennels. I worked my way up to tech and have been a Veterinary Technician since 2013. I also spent almost a year working at an Emergency Animal Clinic! I know just do relief work as a Technician when its convenient. My deep love for animals, as my mother says, “is genetic but skipped her generation”. I come from a long line of animal lovers/rescuers. I used to drive my mother crazy bringing in every stray or baby animal because it “NEEEEDS me!!” We know how to handle all temperaments in a loving manner, we will eventually be friends, even if we have to work for it! My Children are amazing! My daughter Adahlia (a-doll-yuh) was born in 2008. She is incredibly involved with all of our pet care! She has been trained for her whole life on proper animal care. She’s helped bottle feed many litters of kittens! She also has been trained on how to approach child aggressive animals and usually after a few visits we can start to improve their perception of children! My Son Jax was born in 2011. He is partially involved and does best with our high energy furbabies who need extra help wearing them out! He’s currently being trained so one day soon, he will be as awesome with animals as his sister. I do often travel with other Rover Sitters/Milo and Associates Sitters that I have Allied with. Our Furbabies are: Sonic, Tobi, Sarah, & Aria – Overly friendly DSH cats. Milo is a 6 year old, 85 pound Staffordshire Terrier. He is incredibly friendly, super submissive, embarassing really. He prefers playing with small dogs but also enjoys large dogs. Milo has grown up in a veterinary office, being used as a blood donor and for practice for new techs to learn to draw blood. He also grew up with all my fosters and rescue animals so he is very patient and gets along with everyone! Why I love Pet Care: Being around animals my entire life, it only makes sense that it be my career choice! I have pet sat for family and friends for ages, then started sitting for clients at my clinic. While working at both clinics, I ended up working 90 hour weeks. I chose to go down to just weekends at the day practice to actually be there for my kids. We picked up the pet care full time not only because of my obsession with animals, but because the kids can generally help me! They don’t even realize it’s a “job”, they’re certain it’s “The coolest thing ever!” My experience administering medication: I've had experience administering all medications. Pill, Suspensions, Injections of different kind, and even Subcutaneous Fluids! About my yard: Extremely large. 4 foot chain link.

Laura was very communicative and kept me posted with pics and videos. That helped me not to worry about my fur baby. She also helped me when my flight changed and I needed one extra day with her. By the looks of it my cat loved her and her family, so I will def use her services again! I would recommend her to anyone wanting peace of mind when away from your pet!

Laura was absolutely perfect for our dog, as I am sure she will be for your sweet pet. Very timely in her walks and appearances with Mattie grace, wonderful pictures of her play date, and exposed Mattie' s love of children by bringing hers along during the walks. I would most certainly recommend Laura to anyone who is in need of a wonderful companion for your pet. We will definitely be using Laura again when the need arises

Information Laura D. would like to know about your pet

We recommend a shot record as well as a quick list of care guidelines tucked into their "suitcase". We highly recommend flea and tick prevention such as Frontline Plus or Nexgard and the Leptospirosis vaccine. (if your not sure your baby has had the Lepto vaccine, I will gladly glance at the records!) When boarding resumes, this will be required to provide.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks: Where ever you would normally walk your baby! Just point the way and we will figure out our way back! When boarding resumes we do not normally walk, but will if you desire. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: We are all about loving and cuddling! I’m known to use a lot of baby talk and hold conversations with them! They are treated just like any other member of our family and they have free run of the house. They’re welcome to cuddle in bed with me or the kids, we also have a number of chairs, a couch, and small dog beds throughout the entire house! We don’t crate unless you ask me too! Time I'll spend with your baby: Almost all day! I leave for a few hours to walk dogs around mid day. In your home there is an additional fee If I’m needed to stay most or all of the day. However I generally "move in" for the time frame and usually only leave when I have walks here and there. I send updates and pictures every 24-48 hours, sometimes more if they’re being extra adorable or as I discover their quirks! And I'm extremely quick to answer the phone if your missing your baby!
