Pet care experience
Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile. I'm a local Glenfield girl with a huge passion for animals. My love of animals started very early on having lived with pets for most of my life. I have over 18 years worth of experience caring for dogs either my own or for my family and friends. I currently own 1 dog and 1 cat who thankfully get on well together and also with other animals. I am trustworthy, reliable with a very caring nature and I would look after your dog as if they were my own. I have a good sized secure (6ft) fenced garden and I’m only a stones throw from the local park which is a great place for walks, wet noses and waggy tails. Bradgate Park is one of my favourite places which I visit regularly and I also have access to an enclosed exercise area nearby which is a great place for dogs to let off some steam in a safe environment. My experience includes looking after young pups right through to senior hounds. I have looked after many different types of dogs over the years including Staffies, German Shepard’s, Huskies, Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Bulldogs, Terriers, Cockapoo’s and Jack Russells to name a few but please don’t ask me to pick a favourite as I really don’t think I could! I’m currently studying for a Complete Canine Care Diploma and then aim to complete a dog behavioural course in order to increase my knowledge and continually improve the service I provide for my customers. Safety is my number one priority which is why I am trained in Pet First Aid and Insured for dog walks. For the safety of all pets in my care, I only accept vaccinated animals. During your pets time with me you can expect lots of exercise and fresh air, one on one time and plenty of attention. You will be provided with regular updates with pictures and videos of our adventures. I have a clean driving license and transport, if collections are required. I really know how difficult it is to be away from our beloved pets and the importance of finding someone to trust with such a precious member of the family. From the moment we met Laura we knew Bailey would be in safe hands. She took the trouble to send us photos of Bailey throughout his stay which put our minds at ease and allowed us to enjoy our trip away. Bailey returned home a very happy albeit tired dog from all the walks and fun he had with Laura. I would highly recommend her for as a dog sitter.
Laura has been a credit to us when we have used her in the past to look after our little nutter of a cockapoo, Louie. He is a very loving pup but can be wary of people at first; right from the off he was made to feel welcome and started to jump up at her expecting attention as he does (to our embarrassment!). Every single time we collected Louie from her house, it was difficult to prize him away because of all the love and attention he was given throughout the day. Laura has always advertised that she would look after other people's dogs as if they were her own we have always been able to see why. Every visit he was given more than ample exercise as I was kept up to date with their walks and activities together through lots of lovely pictures. This was also evident for him having no energy when he came home which was very nice after a long day! Numerous times we have requested rather specific requirements too, which she has always done her upmost to work round us. It really comes without second thought that if I needed someone to look after Louie for an hour, to a day, to a week, Laura would without a doubt be the first person we would call. Thank you again!

A typical day
I am a keen walker and would usually go to the local park or one around the surrounding areas. I also use an enclosed dog exercise area whereby (if you're comfortable) your dog can be let off the lead and can enjoy some fun games including the classic Fetch, Frisbee, Chase, Find the Treat and many more. If your pooch is less active I offer tailored packages to suit the individual needs of your pet. Command reinforcement and training support.
