Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Laura and I've had experience taking care of dogs since I was a teenager. I'm now 33 years old and the proud owner of my rescue dog, Brooks! Growing up I often took care of neighbors pets (dogs, rabbits, cats) and was responsible for the daily care of our family pet, the best yellow lab on the block. Currently, my rescue dog can be skiddish at times (for example, he can be frightened by loud noises) so I am well aware of the extra patience it takes to calm him down during walks. I also dog-sit for friends when they are out of town, and their pets range from beagles to pits to breed mixes. I have been a dog lover my entire life and am looking forward to meeting you and your dog!

Laura is one of the most caring, trustworthy and reliable people that I know. She adopted a rescue pup a few years ago who had a bad case of mange. Laura has been amazing with him and with a lot of TLC he looks like a complete different dog! Laura is a wonderful person and pet owner. She takes amazing care of her own dog, and I have asked her on multiple occasions to watch my dogs while we have been out of town. Laura rescued a very neglected, and fur-less puppy and nursed him back to health. He is now the happiest little pup! She has a tremendous love for dogs, and is also very reliable. Both you and your dog would be lucky to have Laura as a dog walker!

A typical day
I am more than happy to take any dog on a walk around their neighborhood, if there is a park nearby that's even better! If an owner has a backyard and their dog loves to play fetch or just be outside in general, I would love to be the sitter/walker that gets to spend that time with your pet!

Availability
I currently take care of my own dog daily which ranges from feeding him, scheduling vet appointments, grooming appointments and making sure he is up to date on medications and shots. My dog Brooks is a sweet heart but he tends to be scared of loud noises so I know how to handle dogs that may be on the shy side or that need some extra love if they are easily scared.
