Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child and have had pets and cared for the pets of my family and friends in my home and their home for my entire adult life. I was a certified dog behavioral trainer for over a year and have worked with dogs and cats of all sizes, including giant breed dogs. I have experience with walking, grooming, administering oral medication, as well as advanced medication including injections. I also have experience with animals in every age range, from kittens and puppies to 20+ year old cats and 16 year old dogs. I have cared for animals in various states of health with multiple health concerns and am well versed in caring for older pets with complex medical conditions. I adore animals. My last furry family member passed away this year and I miss loving and caring for both cats and dogs. I know one of the most challenging things about having pets is finding someone you can trust to care for them when you need to be away. I would love to be a trusted resource to help ease your mind and provide the love and care to your pets that they need, when you need.

We really enjoyed having Laura to keep precious over the weekend for us she sent pictures on the regular and I was so happy to get the pictures and that they were getting along precious really loved her and for sure I will use Laura and rover.com in the future
Laura is my go-to when I need care for my animals. She even helped me with training my new pup on the basics. My pets love her and she loves them. I was so nervous about finding someone to watch over them when I was away. I couldn't have asked for a better caregiver.

I no longer have pets of my own in the home and so your loved one will have all of the space and my attention to themselves. I have lots of green space and walking areas that we can use for potty breaks and walks, but they will need to remain leashed at all times when outside as I do not have a designated fenced area.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behavior concerns that I should anticipate. I have experience with many breeds and with varying health conditions. It is important to me that I provide the best care possible. Being prepared for all of your pets needs and concerns will help me do that. This includes things like hyperactivity, leash training needs, response and behavior to other animals, feeding and bathroom habits, any chewing or destructive behaviors, anxiety, medication needs, health conditions like arthritis, vision and hearing health, and anything else that will help me provide the best care possible. Please note: I am not able to keep aggressive dogs at this time. Due to the nature of my neighborhood including other dogs frequently in the area I would walk a dog and go for potty breaks, I cannot ensure everyone's safety if your pup is aggressive towards any people or other dogs.
A typical day
I love animals of all shapes, sizes and needs. We can take walks during their stay to check out all of the new smells, play games, use the snuffle mat, and have all the cuddles. There are beautiful areas with large sidewalks that boarder a golf course near my home, perfect for exercise and stimulation.

Availability
I currently work full-time, a typical 8-4 schedule, but I do work from home 2 days per week of my choosing and do have some schedule flexibility. I work close by my home and can quickly return if there is a concern or for a walk and potty break if needed. When my good boy was still with me, I walked him twice a day, weather and heat permitting, and we walked up to 2 miles per day. I can accommodate dry or wet food and varying feeding routines. If you need accommodations not listed in my service availability, please reach out to me and I will work with you to accommodate if I can on a case by case basis.
