Hey! My name is Laura and I worked at a wolf sanctuary for over 3 years. I’ve literally ran with the wolves (and wolf hybrids) and assisted in enclosure maintenance and animal socialization, so I know quite a bit about the needs of different breeds, especially larger breeds. I’m also willing to do extra research to make sure I’m meeting your dog’s needs. I grew up with Shelties and LOVE herding/cattle dogs! But I’m definitely not picky though and would love to care for your fur baby/babies, regardless of breed. I’m a recent MSW (Master of Social Work) graduate looking for side work to pay the bills, and I have a life-long love of dogs so Rover feels like a perfect fit. I also love long walks in parks, nature preserves, and hiking around the foothills. I also have three kitties and love giving kitty snuggles and having kitty play time!

Laura was nice enough to take our pup for a 40 minute walk while we were gone for the day. She's a lifesaver!
Repeat customer-- she did a great job once again. I felt really comfortable leaving my dogs with her. She kept me updated and did a great job with our house also. I am totally happy with Laura :-) !!
I have never left my dog for more than a night or two, so I was super nervous leaving him. After I had a meet and greet with Laura I knew it would be a perfect fit! I gotta tell you all she did a wonderful job. My dog has just started having elbow issues along with other things. Laura did an amazing job with his meds, exercise, and his needs. She was great and I highly recommend her!!!

It helps to know the breed because I like to do my research to make sure to incorporate any breed-specific enrichment, but mystery mutts will be just as loved and pampered! Please let me know of any possible health conditions and issues with anxiety. I’ve worked with highly anxious dogs and will want to make sure I’m avoiding triggers when possible, especially for rescues with trauma histories.
A typical day
Long walks, healthy treats, extended play times, breed enrichment, trips to the dog park, games of fetch, and lot of smooches, hugs, and belly rubs! I grew up with high energy dogs and like to make sure every dog (and cat) I care for is getting enough play time. Also, if you have 2 dogs that do well on walks Rover’s booking settings can be wonky (especially since it only lets people schedule walks in 30 min intervals), so if you’re concerned about the price Rover lists, please just send me a message. We can chat and see if there’s any wiggle room!
