My husband Mark and I are very active young professionals with a very sweet male golden retriever mix named Sunny. Sunny is an older guy (12ish years old), who does not really play with other dogs, but he is very friendly to people and dogs, and we are always interested in meeting new canine friends. Mark and I are runners and hikers and would love to tire out any energetic pups who need it, but we are also happy with a slow stroll around the block (or just lazing about in our backyard) with dogs who are less active. (Note: We currently have an almost enclosed backyard and plan to finish enclosing it in Spring 2019. In the mean time, we are happy to take pups out on a leash whenever they need to go out.) I work from home full time and have a very flexible schedule, which allows for lots of walks and potty breaks for dogs staying at my home. Alternatively, I am happy to come to your home to walk your pup(s) or stay and house-sit if you are gone for an extended period. Summer: A note to those concerned about the heat: As the owner of a long-haired, heat sensitive dog, I am always prepared with extra water, especially in the summer. I will only take Sunny and your pup for longer walks, hikes, or runs in the early morning or late evening when it's cooler.
