Lot's of playtime!
Pet care experience
I have a large rescue boy named Jaxx. He's a Saluki-Shepherd mix (think: hairy greyhound type) and he's about 7 years old. He used to LOVE to play wrestle but he was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease in March of 2023 so we're getting used to new meds and new diet. He is stable but not as energetic as he used to be. I had a MinPin/Chihuahua who went over the Rainbow Bridge late 2022. My little girl was alpha and she taught Jaxx everything he knows so he is gentle and loves little dogs! Some good news!! I just adopted a new little girl! She's a Jack Russell and about 1-2 years old. Gidget is very playful and has loved all my Rover doggies (and worn them out! LOL). Your fur baby will be part of our pack and enjoy full-time company! I work from home so I'm rarely gone. My yard is fully fenced and except if it's pouring rain or extremely hot, my door is always open so guest doggies can come-and-go to the yard. My home is small so I only will board 1 dog at a time. Kisses and belly rubs at no extra cost! I do insist on a meet-and-greet before I'll accept a new customer. I just want all parties to be comfortable and happy. I also have certificates in Canine Behavior and Training I & II from Trish King, First Aid, Dog-tec's Dog Walking Academy and am certified in dog Swim Therapy.
Reviews
Laura always takes such good care of my dog. She keeps me posted with cute videos and pictures. She provides such a safe, calm environment for him.
Laura was great! Cosmo had a wonderful time. I will definitely be using her again
This is the second time June stayed with Laura, and Laura was amazing again! June wasn't eating her food and Laura made her an egg and gave her some baby food and she was back to a happy, eating June! Thank you for another great stay!
Laura is an amazing caretaker. She is communicative and has a ton of fun with your pup, along with her two pups. She only takes 1 guest pup at a time, which is a perk as well.

My yard is fully fenced and secure. My 7 pound MinPin/Chihuahua recently passed away but I made sure my yard was secure enough so she could not escape! I double gate my entry and I put my own dog tag on your pet's collar while s/he is here for extra ID. Weather permitting, my door is open all day so all dogs can come-and-go into my yard as they need. If play really gets going, I make sure there is enough water and that everyone takes breaks to cool down.

Information Laura A. would like to know about your pet
I really insist on a meet-and-greet prior to booking please. Its only fair to both your dog(s) and mine. I don't have any breed preferences. I do prefer dogs that are well socialized and friendly by nature. My big guy (Jaxx) is intimidated by large male dogs so I'm limiting the dogs I take to small or medium-sized dogs. Larger than 50 pounds on a case x case basis.
A typical day
I moved to Nashville from the San Francisco area so I have a lot of exploring to do. I enjoy getting out to the Shelby Greenway trails and local dogparks so your dog would go with us (if that is appropriate for his/her activity level). Otherwise, weather-permitting, they are welcome to enjoy my yard and have the freedom to roam and play. We like to visit the Baxter Bailey pet store for homemade, gourmet treats!

Availability
I work from home so I am home almost all the time. Your pet becomes one of my pack and will enjoy lots of loves and attention. I cook for my dog, Jaxx, and he is fed 2x daily plus he takes meds. We get out for walks and/or trips to the park for socialization and exercise. Your dog will join, as appropriate (but will never be left alone!) And I love when dogs want to sleep with me! LOL
