We booked with Latrellis for four cat care visits while we were out of town. We sent her detailed instructions about entering our home and caring for the animals, and we made ourselves available for any questions or concerns. When we came home from our vacation, it quickly became apparent that Latrellis has done the bare minimum in taking care of our two cats. (1) The cats’ water bowl was knocked over and completely empty when we arrived home. We knew that Latrellis had seen the bowl knocked over and not filled it back up because there were wet paper towels on top of the trash. (2) She did not feed one of our cats his wet food a single time during the four days she was caring for our animals. Instead, she kept putting out the same wet food, which predictably the cat did not eat. Common sense would dictate that any animal would refuse to eat blackened, rotted food. But nevertheless, Latrellis persisted in putting out the same bowl without refreshing it with the fresh, large stockpile we had left prepared in the fridge. (3) Not only did she fail to feed our cat his wet food, it seems that she did not fill up his dry food bowl until we reminded her that it needed to be done. (4) Our automatic litter box clearly malfunctioned while we were gone. Instead of contacting us to let us know there appeared to be an issue, we had to reach out to say we had received an error message on the machine. Even when we contacted her, she did not remove the dirty litter from the box as requested. Instead she left the box in its broken state and in fact just emptied out the ENTIRETY of the litter without seeming to replace it. This left our cats without any place to use the bathroom. (5) Latrellis’s communication with us was practically nonexistent, and her visits were no longer than 12 minutes when we had paid for 30 minutes. The notifications we received from our front lock showed that her visits were even shorter than those documented on Rover. In fact, she stayed at our home for a mere 8 minutes on the last day. Our upstairs neighbor even considered reaching out to us because she was concerned about the care the cats were receiving. Coming home to find your animals without food, water, or a place to use the bathroom is extremely distressing. We would not recommend booking with Latrellis for cat care.

Latrellis was communicative throughout the morning so I thought everything was good. She let me know our dog had an accident in the crate and that she would clean it (unnecessary but kind) but she actually just put him back in the crate with his bed balled up in the back, taking up half the space, and left without saying anything else to me. We came home to the entire crate, the bed, and the dog covered in dog poop. I didn't expect her to clean it, but I would have appreciated some communication so we could have come home early to get him out of his own waste where he was stuck for three hours. Unacceptable.
