I started doing pet/house sitting & dog walking over 18 years ago for a family who attended the gym I worked at. At that time they had 2 dogs, a hamster, a turtle & a bird that I would care for when they would go on weekend trips or 2 week vacations. In 2006 I started doing pet/house sitting for a family in Bowie, MD until they moved to Colorado about a year or 2 later due to new employment. Their household consisted of 4 dogs, 2 cats, 4 ferrets & multiple fish. I worked as an independent contractor in 2008/2009 for a pet sitting & dog walking service until my contract ended in late 2010 when I got married. I am very hard working & dependable. I have lots of love to share with your fur baby while you are away and love to give them snuggles. Over the past 2 year I have been pet sitting for a non Rover client who has 2 boxers who has become a really good friend and her babies have become my buddies. When I come to your home I like to give your fur baby the chance to sniff around me and get comfortable with me being in your home even during a meet and greet. In all the years I have been doing pet sitting I have not had a pet that did not like me. I give them their space when I first arrive for the sit if they are shy and still a little uncertain about me. I don't force myself on any animal when I know that I am the one in their territory. I have started my own home based travel business and will have better flexibility with pet sits, walks and drop ins.
