It’s not easy working, traveling, or having to be away from your dog. My stance is to treat every dog as my own, and to add to the love they already get from you! Personally, I have a lot of experience with high-energy, smart dogs - it’s important (and a necessity) for them to get time out of the house and working with other people. The more docile, sleepy dogs want that interaction, too, even if they don’t outright ask for it. My walks and visits would focus on mental stimulation, practicing good habits you’ve already been working on, and exploring outside!
