I'm a long term homeowner who, 4+ years ago, broke geographic ties to start exploring the United States as well as the world in depth. Since then I've been moving to, and living in, an area for weeks or months at a time in able to truly see what it has to offer. During that time I've done many house and pet sits all over the united states as well as sits in Switzerland, England, and the Netherlands (www.TheHappySitters[dot]com). And somewhere along the way I think I fell in love with the Boise area... I’ve been a homeowner myself for over 20 years and for a big portion of that time have owned rental properties as well. The home I most recently lived in  was built by my family and I and we did a lot of the work ourselves including framing, roofing, wiring, and some plumbing. I'd also like to add that I'm familiar with pool maintenance and have X in ground myself right now. With the experience I’ve gained over the years there are very few maintenance tasks that are beyond my skill set. Your home would without a doubt be in good hands while you’re away! I’m comfortable with domestic pets and have owned numerous dogs over the years ranging from the garden variety mutt to a pair of adorable cocker spaniels that I bred a couple of times. While I’ve never owned a cat I’ve taken care of a couple at various times – and for extended periods - over the years for friends & family and am quite comfortable with the average legged house pets. Beyond that I will confess I have no direct experience with any other pets or farm animals but would be comfortable with virtually any pet with a little instruction. Anything beyond I’m open to discuss! My background is in Information Technology and if you would like I could happily feed you multimedia updates on your home and/or pets in your absence. This could range from random snapshots to occasional streaming video that you’d be able to access from any location in the world with a basic internet connection. Especially in the case of family pets I understand that separation for an extended period can be a difficult thing and will do my best to keep you and your ‘furry family’ connected!
