Larissa is someone who is born to take care of animals. She has a unique ability to understand how to love an animal within minutes of meeting it. She has done this numerous times both at University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she already takes care of dogs, and also in her personal life. For example when she came to see my house for the first time she met my two dogs, Hammond and Lilah. Hammond and Lilah are brother and sister and are two very distinct personalities. Hammond is very direct and will just come up to you and say hi; while Lilah will come up to you slowly trying to scope out the situation. Larissa took one look at Hammond and embraced him right away. As for Lilah, she saw that she was a little bit more shy so she got on her knees and lowered her hand to say hi. Lilah, deciding she was ok, then came up to her and put her head in Larissa's hand. This all happened in the span of maybe a minute. Larissa is someone who can and will take care of, and nurture any animal she comes in contact with. I am proud to endorse her as caregiver of dogs.
