I am a BIG animal lover and have grown up around and taken care of dogs, birds and cats for friends and family all of my life. I love spending time outdoors and being active, especially with horses and dogs. I am naturally high energy, compassionate, patient, and optimistic. I have been a roller skater since I was 9, and a runner for even longer and those are two of my favorite outdoor activities to do with dogs. Beyond the basics I love all nature, wildlife and pet photography and get a lot of joy from capturing action shots and shared happy moments throughout the day!

Percy had a wonderful overnight stay with Lara! He got plenty of play and exercise under her care (especially with her pup Winston) and she sent constant photo, video and text updates on his stay.
As expected, Percy had a great time with Lara and her pup Winston! He was so excited when we got to her house and by the end of the night he was totally tuckered out from lots of play and attention. We appreciate the care Lara gives Percy and highly recommend her!

Please note, all meet and greets take place at Upton Park in Royal Oak, unless it's a drop in visit request. This is to ensure both dogs are fully comfortable and happy with one another, and that our family is the best fit for all your dog's specific needs. :) PLAYMATE Your dog will have a spunky playmate if he stays with our small family. :) If you are planning to book an in-home visit (daycare) or boarding with us, please be ready to provide proof of vaccination before the meet and greet. It is important for your dogs/s to be completely up to date on their DHPP, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Rabies shots. We regret to inform you that we cannot consider bookings for pets that are not current on all of these shots (or unable to provide proof). We live in a very safe, clean, and friendly neighborhood. We have a great dog-friendly backyard as shown in the photos, perfect for play time or relaxing. We have plenty of dog toys, dogs beds and other basics like bowls and doggy bags. Dogs are welcome on the furniture in our home and we are happy to help with grooming if your dog enjoys it. We have a one story home and it does not have any stairs so it is great for dogs of all ages. All bookings include a morning walk and a walk before or around sundown, weather permitting. Duration varies depending on the needs or limitations of the dog. We are always happy to go on long walks if it is comfortable for the dog. On warmer days I bring a dog friendly water bottle and am mindful about making sure every pup stays hydrated. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING DAY CARE OR BOARDING: - A meet-and-greet at Upton Park in Royal Oak is required prior to booking, with a few exceptions, like drop ins or out of state visitors. - Your dog must do well with men and young dogs because I live with my boyfriend and we adopted a corgi this summer. My bf is an equally passionate animal lover and always gives the dogs we care for lots of love and affection. He also grew up around dogs his entire life. - Items to bring to boardings: food, treats, feeding instructions, favorite toy/s, and anything else your dog might enjoy or need. We provide cozy beds of all sizes, water bowls, food bowls, lots of different types of toys, and a large crate if needed. I am happy to answer any additional questions! I would like to know their feeding/walking schedule to maintain their routine. What are their favorite activities? What are their known reactivity triggers? Do any objects, sounds or places in particular make them feel fearful or anxious? We have a large crate and keep a large Serta dog bed inside it at night for the dog to be comfy if he or she is crate trained. This can be discussed on a call within the rover app, in the DMs prior to meeting, or in person at our local RO park. We always want what is best and safest for the dogs. Their happiness, comfort, and wellbeing is always our top priority. And you will be updated with plenty of photos and videos for any booking. :)
A typical day
When booking with me, your dog will enjoy ample play time, lots of affection, and multiple walks through Royal Oak's lovely local parks or yours! If your dog enjoys long walks or jogs even better! I am a fit and active hiker, runner, tennis player, roller skater, and great with frisbees too! The neighborhood is safe, clean, scenic, and lovely in every season! I live with my wonderful and always supportive boyfriend and he is just as big of an animal lover as I am! He is always happy to join play time with the dogs or any walks we go on so your dog/s will always get all the love and affection they crave and deserve! This pertains to doggy daycare and boarding as the drop ins and walks are solely handled by me. * We are happy to accommodate single family booking requests.
