My prices are a bit higher than your average dog professional, because of my experience and the fact that I own a separate business as a dog trainer. I have 9 years of professional experience taking dogs out walking, hiking, going to the parks, the ocean, CPR certification, boarding and daycare and sitting at client's home. I also have 5 years of experience in professional dog training. I grew up in Kentucky and we had lots of cats and dogs. At one point in my childhood we had 30 cats and 5 dogs, and being home schooled gave me the joy of being around them all day! I have a ton of knowledge in behavioral dog training by working for a highly rated dog training company at Bark & Biscuit in Salt Lake, Utah and started my own business when I moved back to California. I have a lot of experience with reactive, anxious and fearful dogs along with puppies. Puppies are the best!!! I do not offer training for free while I’m servicing your pup, but can keep up any previous training or rules your pooch already has. Your dog will be learning regardless, because each and every interaction with your dog is a learning moment. I am here to make sincere relationships and connections with you and your dog and provide them the care and love they need! I am aware of dogs that may have health conditions (very experienced with senior dogs) and if they need mellow activity or the extra rest I am able to provide that. I also am experienced in administering medications, including insulin for diabetic pups. I am always happy to schedule a time to meet you and your pup/pups before booking. I specialize in dog anxiety, fear, uncomfortable with being touched/biting, separation anxiety, reactivity and socialization. I work from home, so I can offer 24/7 care in my home. For house-sitting, I have two dogs and will have to bring them to your home and that is understandable if you don’t feel comfortable with that, which is why I also offer boarding! Your dogs might feel more comfortable boarding, because it will be like a fun vacation for them. I cannot wait to meet you and your dog or doggies to see if I am the right fit for you and their needs!

Lara has been an amazing care giver for Domino for sometime now and a lifesaver for me. I found Lara when I had to fly out of the country for 3 weeks on short notice and couldn't take Domino with me. Domino was abused in the past and has severe seperation anxiety so he suffers a lot when I leave. I had references for sitters from Domino's behaviorist and from his trainer, but I was very picky in what I wanted for Domino. When we met Lara, Domino's reaction assured me that I picked right. Lara instantly gave Domino confidence and earned his trust and he was having fun instead of feeling anxious in my absence. It helped to know that he's staying with someone I completely trust to be the 'alpha' and who can keep things under control while still giving her posse unlimited love. Lara and Kelsey made sure that Domino is always happy and kept me updated with pictures that made my own trip so much easier and worry-free. Lara is very honest, flexible, and she followed Domino's feeding and medication instructions to the point. She goes way above and beyond, and always checks up on Domino the day after I pick him up to see how he is. She's very reaponsible and attentive to the dogs' needs as well as the owners', and the dogs get to socialize and have fun together in the backyard or on the endless walks, hikes and adventures that Lara and Kelsey take them on. Not only that Lara's prices were substantially lower than many other offers that I got, but me and Domino couldn't have asked for anything better. I would recommend Lara to anyone who wants peace of mind for themselves and for their best friend. Domino can't wait to be back again. Thank you Lara!
Lara and Kelsey are amazing! I think they put me to shame. Rex has so many adventures with them, that when he's home - he just sleeps for a while. This time, they stayed at our place and took care of our cats as well. In addition to taking care of the animals, they left the house cleaner than they found it, even with treats for the parents when we came back from our camping trip. And our pup was as trim and fun as ever! Thank you Lara and Kelsey!
My 5 year old yellow lab loved staying with Lara. It was her first time there and she had a great time playing with the other dogs. I will definately book with her again!
Lara took care of our dog while we were in town for our sons graduation. She did a great job introducing her to other dogs to ensure she was comfortable- took her on a hike - and sent pictures and updates throughout the day. I would recommend Lara to anyone looking for doggie daycare.

I supervise the entire time and if I cannot supervise them, they are in a kennel for safety. I am with your dog when they are with me inside AND outside. I have a fully fenced in yard and a clean freak. I vacuum 1-2 times a day and I follow any rules you like me to follow so your dog doesn’t pick up naughty behaviors or regress from what you’ve taught them.

I do not discriminate against any breed. I LOVE all breeds/dogs! I request for a note left in your home when you’re out of town with their feeding instructions and important information -such as if there are any allergies, medications, health conditions, regular routine so I can keep up the way things are while you’re home. I do request that your kitchen counters are very well sanitized with no food or crumbs out, because I have celiac disease and highly allergic to gluten. Thank you! :)
A typical day
Always keep them on leash while outside, unless there in a fully fenced in area or they are trained off leash and have reliable recall. I am not a fan of dog parks, because I don’t know the dogs there and want to ensure your dog is 100% safe. For boarding and daycare, your dog will be actively engaged in the yard with other dogs that I separate by size and temperament along with hanging out inside. For house-sitting I provide walks, supervised yard time and also practice them learning how to be calm and relaxed inside.

I do intervals of outside time and rest time so your dog gets the physical and mental exercise they need along with rest so they do not become overly-tired.
