Pet care experience
I have grown up caring for large, small, exotic, and disabled animals my whole life. My mom has been a veterinary technician her entire career which is where I have gotten so much exposure that most do not have. I have 12 years of rescue volunteer experience dealing with animals who need more attention then most. I began working on a farm at age 10 to fund my passion for horses, which has also exposed me to a multitude of large animals. I cater my care for what each animal needs as they are all different whether that be medications, attention, different types of exercise, socialization, etc! I have experience caring for all ages and special needs animals including feedings, injections, paralyzed pets, nothing is off the table! I am happy to make any accommodations that would provide the best care for your best friend!

Lara was amazing with our dog, Stella! She took the time to meet us prior to her stay and got acquainted with Stella ahead of time (some anxious/protective behavior) and things went great. She is so friendly and was very helpful with Stella's routine and her needed medications, and she sent lots of regular updates while we were gone. She took Stella out for some great walks and hikes, which we truly appreciated. We had total peace of mind while on vacation, and we will absolutely be using Lara again in the future. I am open to all breeds but I prefer complete honestly when it comes to your pet! Any special accommodations ex: doesn’t like hard wood floors, scared of men, not good on a leash, needs medications Is your pet good in public settings? Is your pet friendly with other dogs? Is your pet food/toy aggressive? Is you pet spayed/neutered? I don’t mind either way but just important to know! Is your pet potty trained? Also don’t mind but need to know to maintain a schedule Does your pet have exercise limitations/high energy Any specific limitations/requests when caring for dog Is your dog destructive ex chewing shoes, furniture
A typical day
I love to exercise/ spend time outside and if allowed I love to go on runs with dogs weather permitting! I understand that not every dog is dog friendly or may havespecial accommodations, I am able to cater to this in order to give your pet an experience that benefits them most! Before caring for a pet it is essential to review what the owner would or would not like the dog/cat to do, this way both owner and pet are happy!

I have just graduated PA school and have some free time. I love working with animals so this provides me a way to make money while also doing what I love until I begin working in January.
