About this sitter: I have a great passion for animals..especially dogs..all my dogs and cats have been rescues either from the Oakland SPCA or the Oakland animal shelter..I have also volunteered in the past at the Oakland SPCA and I am a flight attendant for Virgin America and volunteered on a flight last year to bring Chihuahuas from SFO to New York to get adopted!! I would love the opportunity to meet and care for your precious pooch and treat him or her as they were part of my family.. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover ever since I could remember… I have always had a dog for the last 25 years and when I was younger I grew up with dogs as well...My dogs are my babies they mean the world to me and I would do anything for them as my family would and has as well.. One of my dogs went blind at a fairly young age and had to go to the vet quite often and take medication daily.. So I am very familiar with giving meds to dogs..we ended up taking her to one of the best eye surgeons for animals in Davis at the Veterinary Clinic. I would drive there about once a week with my precious Roxy to have her checked and eventually eye surgery.. She learned to navigate very well being blind at such a young age and I taught her how to go up and down the stairs and the curbs. She had the best spirit and was always wagging her tail even under her unfortunate circumstances. I will treat your fur baby as they are my own and part of the family! Meet my pets 2 indoor/outdoor cats and my dog Jake which I have part-time the rest of the time he's with his grandparents. About my yard I have a enclosed patio with a dog door. My experience administering medication Yes I had a dog who went blind at an early age and needed several medications daily.

Lara has a genuine and deep love for animals. She is responsible, trustworthy, and loves all dogs as if they were her own. Lara is energetic and enjoys walking so she will definitely that your pup for a nice outing. She takes time to get to know you and your pet. My dog gets super excited when she sees Lara, which shows how well she is treated by her (not that I had any doubts anyway). She makes sure that your dog has food and water and everything he/she needs. Lara sends me a pic of my dog when she leaves, which is very much appreciated. I cannot say enough good comments about Lara...she has a passion for dogs and a positive energy.
Lara was amazing! She took great care of our dog Wrigley and was very accommodating to our schedules to make everything work out smoothly. We are always a little nervous with leaving our "fur-child" with strangers but Lara was very professional and knowledgable. Wrigley loved hanging with her and we wouldn't think twice to do it again. I highly recommend Lara to anyone needing a pet sitter in Alameda. Thank you Lara! We will definitely call you first next time! :)
Lara is an awesome dog sitter and has watched my dog on and off over the last five years or so… she has always had pets of her her own including dogs and cats. Lara is very responsible and your pooches will be in good hands with her!!!

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks There is a Bay Path right along the water in back of my townhouse where I would walk your dog. Dogs love this Bay Path and it's a beautiful walk for your dog. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever is comfortable for your precious pooch in any room of my house ... I have a few dog beds, or if you would like to bring their own dog bed..? Time I'll spend with your dog My whole day will be dedicated to spending time with your precious pooch! I provide dog walking services as well...where I would come to your house and feed and walk your dog depending on the distance from my house... I usually just provide dog walking services in Alameda but depends. I can do dog sitting in your place as well depending on the circumstances, distance etc..
