Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid, starting with our family dogs. My house is always full of my pugs and all of my friends and family's dogs, who frequently visit for play dates and stay-overs. I volunteer with Fitz and Doc at St. Joseph Hospital for the Human Animal Bond In Colorado, allowing patients and staff to have some stress free time with animals. I am able to read a dog's body language and understand when they are content and when they are not. I love animals, especially dogs and will look after your furry family as I do mine, with great care, love and respect. I am a retried school teacher & work part-time, giving me lots of time to play with & take care of your furry friends in the early mornings, afternoons and on weekends. I have two pugs with a big yard and a lockable doggy door, to make sure they are safe. I make sure to keep dogs away from the road when walking and am very mindful when walking dogs to make sure they each have the best experience tailored to their needs and likes.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lanie Maes for Rover. There could not be a more perfect person for this job. Lanie is friendly, outgoing, organized, LOVES all dogs, efficient, on-time always (actually early) and trustworthy. Lanie is the only person who watches my 12 year old yellow lab and she has been watching him since he was a puppy. She knows he is a senior citizen so she takes him on short walks when he stays with her and takes extra special care of him. She sends daily updates and pictures so I know he is having a blast and don’t stress about him while I’m on vacation. . When I come to pick him up he often doesn’t want to leave her house! As I said above, Lanie truly is one of the most unique people I have ever met and is a wonderful human! Please contact me with any further questions.
It would be hard for me to believe that any dog walker on Rover is more qualified, caring, protective, and kind than Lanie. She puts her whole heart into loving her two pugs, and she has shown that same devotion to the three of mine. Lanie has taken care of my littlest pug several times while I’ve been out of the country; I don’t worry about a thing while I’m gone, and I trust Lanie to make decisions for vet treatment in an emergency. Lanie won’t just “walk” your dog...she will get to know your dog, get to know YOU, and make sure you feel secure with her caring for your four-legged buddy.

Availability
I currently work part time Mon-Fri. It gives me plenty of time to take care of your furry friend. I’m an early morning dog owner so getting out early if it’s too hot is important to keep them safe and healthy from the elements. I never mind the cooler weather . You will often see me walking in the snow as well.
