I love animals and have always been one to consider their experience and needs when raising my own. I am always seeking new knowledge about proper care and enrichment. With a shift in careers, I am taking time to myself and looking to reconnect with animals and lend my help to others in the mean time!

Care in my own home will be a strict case-by-case. I own my home and have a fenced yard. I have a lab and a cat, but areas to the house may be easily blocked allowing your pup access to the yard through the doggy door! Care in your home will be as you see best. I will look to pick up any rules and guidance you have in place to ensure your animal(s) continue to respect your routine even when you’re gone. I care very much about pay attention to enrichment and getting energy out when needed so let’s talk about what makes your animal happiest!

I want to know if your dog is food motivated and to what extent? If yes, do you have training treats I can take with me or are you ok with me bringing some to help keep their attention on me while they get to know me. Any tendencies I should be aware of? Poop eater? Mud roller? Cat chaser? How does your dog do on leash? Do you have a harness? How does your dog do next to bikes, kids, other dogs, runners, etc. What commands would you like me to enforce?
A typical day
I see mental enrichment as important as physical exercise so the games and activities I do with my own pets varies on their energy. If I see a dog is just wound up, I’m ready to go for a light jog! If they’re just looking for something to get into? We will play “find it” games around the park or trail. I like to keep dogs I watch on leash and distant from other dogs so that no one is worried about weird interactions and it can all be focused on your pup only.
