Flexible and loving caregiver!

Pet care experience

I grew up in a household of several dogs and cats. At times, we had up to 8 dogs and 5 cats at a time. It was practically a zoo! So at an early age, I gained a lot of first-hand caregiving experience for a wide variety of animal personalities, from shy cats to rambunctious dogs and everything in between. I trained my own dog (Neo, the Border Collie) since he was a 12-week old puppy, using positive-enforcement techniques. My partner and I also care for a shy, 3-legged cat, whose attitude is quite something, I have been pet-sitting dogs and cats for roughly 5 years for friends and family, and I have never disappointed. I am now looking to pet sit for others through Rover for the first time. I am happy to adjust to you and your pets' needs, and I will provide excellent communication with you throughout the process.

Landon is a superior pet caregiver and pet owner. His calming personality and patient and attentive interaction with animals allows him to calm and reassure dogs and cats within a very short time of meeting them. He has experience training large and small dogs with positive feedback and rewards that gently guide them to compliance. I highly recommend him as a caregiver for your pet.

Landon is an extremely friendly and caring individual and I've always known him to be great with animals. On many occasions he has watched my loyal companion and best friend, Jack Mackerel, the French bulldog. The last time Landon watched Jack Mackerel he didn't want to come home. These days the only time Jack Mackerel seems truly happy is when Landon comes around... All this being said Landon is a responsible individual that I would recommend to anyone for their pet caregiving needs.

Landon was awesome when cat-sitting my special needs kitty, Horatio. He was very communicative and sent me lots of updates on how Horatio was doing, which I greatly appreciated. Horatio needs to be given oral medication twice daily, which he doesn't particularly enjoy the taste of, but Landon was a pro at giving him his medicine. You can just tell how much he loves his pets and was so sweet with mine!

Landon is reliable, trustworthy, and takes direction well. I have two big dogs that can be hard to manage and he has done an excellent job providing them with their needed care and also keeping them entertained. I always know I can relax when Landon is taking care of my pets.

A typical day

I like going on walks and playing fetch with my dog in nearby parks and natural areas. My dog is high-energy and my cat is quite the opposite. I approach my attention and caregiving to best fit the pet's personality and tendencies, as all pets are special and unique.
