Pet care experience
I grew up on a large farm with numerous animals of every kind, and have always had at least one dog. My most recent 2 dogs passed away in the last 4 years, & while I crave the companionship of dogs, I am not yet ready for another one of my own. I will host your dog(s) at my home or come to your non-cat/non-snake home. I have cared for dogs of my own from puppy to elderly stages, low to high energy, and small to large sizes. I will familiarize myself with your dog(s) breed(s) & will personalize their care based on their breed & individual characteristics. Ask anyone about my affinity for our furry friends- I love animals, especially dogs, more than people!

Lana was fantastic to work with! She accommodated my crazy travel schedule every time with positivity and flexibility. My boy stayed with her 11 days in February and I could not be more happy with the care and attention she gave him. I cant say enough good things about her or my experience, and will book future travel around HER schedule to ensure her availability to keep my Dobe boy!
Lana did great with Millie. She came home happy and healthy! We appreciated the photo updates and flexibility she offered. We will definitely be booking again soon! Glad to have found a regular sitter for our girl!

I'm happy to have a face to snout meeting before sitting for your dog(s) to ensure they know me. I want to know their personality quirks, their favorite activities, toys & treats. I have no preference for sizes, breeds, etc., but have the most experience with labs and herding dogs.
A typical day
I live in a large subdivision with endless walking options. I am in the back corner section of the neighborhood so there is very little traffic. I have a very large fenced-in yard for dogs to play and run free in. Gates will be locked when dogs are present. I will happily provide toys & treats with the dog parent's/parents' approval. I am a very loving & present sitter & will interact as much or as little as the dog(s) prefer(s).
