Pet care experience
We grew up with pets, and although we don’t currently have one of our own, we often dog-sit and cat-sit for families and friends to make up for it. Pets always give us unconditional comfort and love, so we believe they deserve the best in return.

Edgar absolutely loves Lana & Gus, when he goes for boarding we tell Edgar he's going to go visit 'his other family' and he gets really excited!
Lana and Gus are fantastic! It is always hard leaving our dogs and finding quality care for them means the world. We consistently got updates for our pup while we were out of the country and had a great meet and greet before we left town. Our dog was truly happy and comfortable with Lana and Gus and we can't wait to book with them un the future.
They were so great! My dog loved them so much!
This is Edgar's second stay with Lana & Gus and as expected it went great! They were as excited to see Edgar as he was to see them - I love the feeling that he was going to a familiar home where he gets loved on and very cared for!

We have a large fenced backyard with plenty of room for exercise. We don’t have pets of our own and we only take one dog at a time, so there is no potential for conflict there. We also have housemates so your fur baby would receive plenty of love and attention! Note: We live in a trilevel house, so there are a lot of stairs within the house and to get down to the yard - we realize this may not be the best fit for some senior dogs or those with special needs. Additionally, we have a lot of house plants with quite a few at ground level. If your dog is not crate-trained and may be interested in eating plants while left alone, this may not be the best environment for them.

A typical day
We love to meet dogs where they are and do the activities that bring them comfort and joy. If they are ball-motivated, we will play fetch in the backyard. If they need lots of exercise, we’ll take them for walks around the neighborhood, or a 2-4 mile run if they are up for it! If they like attention, we’ll snuggle on the couch. We know it’s not always easy for dogs to be away from home and those they love, so we’ll do whatever we can to put them at ease.

Availability
Lana and and her husband Gus both work remotely so there is almost always someone home during the weekday for boarding. Lana is an engineer and has a full-time job during the week, but generally works from home. Gus works from home part time most days. We are both generally available on weekends.
