Pet care experience
I am friendly, cheerful and reliable college student studying to become a veterinarian. I currently work In an Animal Hospital as a Vet assistant, having moved up the ranks from Kennel Tech (human pooper scooper). I have always had dogs (and other animals) as pets and started pet sitting and walking as a teenager. I have adopted two friendly shelter dogs (Bill and Ted) and two Guinea Pigs (Vertigo and Bertha). I currently sit exclusively for friends and family and will gladly pick up your fur baby when you’re in a time crunch, take him/her to the groomers, the dog park, through the woods, around the block, for a safe drive in the car or chill with a movie on the couch. Fun, fun, fun! We can even facetime with your fur baby while you’re away! I can administer medications, work on obedience, house training and even teach a few tricks. I understand the extra patience and care required in caring for a senior dog, those with special needs, anxiety and those on special diets/allergies. I do not discriminate against any breed, however I will not take an aggressive dog or one who thinks my Guinea pigs are squeaky toys

Laken is an outstanding trustworthy loving dog sitter. My little girl Maria as dachshund of 5yrs old loves her. Laken would make sure to update me on Maria’s potty habits when she walked her three times a day. She loved the extra walks as I have a very busy work schedule and Laken was always open to assist on sudden schedule changes. She always made sure my home was cleaner then when I left as Maria loves to leave her toys about. She will send you video feed and pics of your fur baby. I wouldn’t expect anyone else to do a in home calls or care for my dog in her home while away. She was always kind in getting back to me and Maria loves to see me go as she knows it would be time for Laken to care for her like a second mom.
Laken is very kind with cats and dogs. She has a loving heart and care for them. She will always go the extra mile. I have a lab mix and she can be a bit difficult with new people. Laken worked with her and was able to handle her just like I would. Anyone who gets her as a dog care giver should be lucky.
She's a fur trooper mom. She takes the time, energy and effort to care for other people's pets as well as her own Ted ( red nose pit mix lab)and Bill (black lab). She grooms, trains and spends the extra time to play and learn about the dog's behavior She's caring for. She's a special kind of person that gives her all in her job. I trust her with my fur baby and kashu comes back depressed because she doesn't want to leave.
We LOVE Laken! She is both working/training and going to college to become a veterinarian, so that’s a win-win. She has two shelter fur babies as well Bill and Ted. Ted is a certified canine good citizen and is such a sweetie with all animals (cats, Guinea pigs, etc). Bill, well, he’s not nearly as intelligent as Ted (sorry Bill) but still a good boy. He’s a special case! Must be the Lab in him. We’ve been using Laken for many years now. She’s super flexible with my crazy short notice work travel schedule. She even bathes my fur babies before I pick them up. I have a Jack Russell/Beagle/Lab mix and a Peekapoo. She definately puts forth the alpha attitude with all dogs, which all dogs need if they are going to respect her. She’s definately found her place in life and loves what she does. Your fur baby is in good hands with Laken!
