Yesterday was my first booking on the site and with laJonte and Cheyanne. Unfortunately my experience was very different from the review before mine that I’m assuming based on the spelling of the name was left by the same cheyanne that I booked with. It was extremely confusing. I left my three month pit mix because I work in the medical field and work the average 8 hour day. He is on meds and I wanted to be sure he can be looked after until he’s old enough for the daycare I chose. Drop off was a very quick exchange with lajonte alone because I had to get to work. I checked in during the day and I was told he was mouth licking but also assured that it was fine he was doing good. Later I was then told he had two accidents in the house and during my break I spoke with his vet because he’s normally very good about going outside. She informed me it could be a result of the meds and I apologized and explained just as she had told me. I wasn’t really understood by laJonte because he just said he hadn’t even taken that medication yet today not understanding he was on day 3 of meds. Even if it wasn’t given today the medicine is already in his system. He also let me know it was fine and that it could be expected because it’s a new environment. I continued to check on him through text during my breaks in the day and I got a few photos and the same everything was fine. Unfortunately when I arrived to get him it was a different story. His wife whom I booked with as well still mad no appearance which I felt was unprofessional and I had booked daycare for two days which laJonte kept explaining that i actually had not booked for two days and it was charged as an overnight because I worked long hours. I did not argue with him though I knew he was wrong bc It was only a few more dollars and I could always just issue a dispute with rover. I asked if he was still okay for tomorrow He informed me that he was canceling because of his mouth licking. Although his bio says he accommodates other dogs and he had tons of experience. I just felt the dogs could have been separated or someone with experience would know this behavior. When I spoke with anansi’s trainer she informed me this was common with puppies and just showing he wanted to play. It was also extremely confusing because the accidents in the house and the mouth licking are the same behaviors during my text check ins he said were fine he complained about and cancelled my booking for. I just felt I wished I knew sooner he felt anansi was a nuisance because I would have left work or had someone pick my boy up, rather than letting him stay long in an environment that was ready for him to leave. I also left a note in the bag. Notes on his profile, and a note on his medicine only to see when he got home he hadn’t received one of his doses. Luckily he did send the cancellation for tomorrow so it wasn’t in fact charged as an overnight.
