As much as I loved Laine's happy personality, there were a couple issues that my husband and I agree could have been handled better. The first was the ER Room visit, where she texted me while we were on a long distance road trip to state that she would not to able to make it due to her being ill. Now I understand that things happen, and she did let us know later that she was able to swing by the house and check up on our cat, so that's fine - though a bit stressing to find a last minute cat sitter while on the road in the event that Laine wouldn't be able to make it. The second and third issues we had were specific irritants that we believe could have been handled better.. After driving 13 hrs back, we came home to find that the house stunk (cat litter & feces were left in an open trashcan inside the house), and cat litter on the stairs as well as on/in the guest bathroom sink. Previously, I had pointed out for Laine to use the grocery garbage bags under the sink, so quite irritating after a long, exhausting drive to find the house a mess. We would have preferred that the cat waste to be handled as requested (in separate bag and thrown away outside), as well as her cleaning up the left behind mess (or at the very least, texting/calling to let us know that she spilt cat litter on the stairs & bathroom sink). Instead of taking responsibility or the initiative to clean up her mess, she left it behind for us to deal with. Unfortunately, we opted for Laine over another potential candidate in hopes for more maturity and practicality; and that was our mistake. Thank you Laine for keeping an eye on our cat, however we will choose to go with someone in the future. Best of wishes.
