Hey there all you pet lovers, my name is Laila. I am a veterinary assistant at Dog and Cat Hospital. My passion is to become a zoologist/ marine biologist, along with becoming an anesthesiologist for human medicine. I’ve always had a big spot in my heart for animals and I would love to share that with your pets! I’m 19 years old and I have a 9 years old dog of my own, he’s a shi tzu, chihuahua, poodle mix and I also have a 2 cats. It would be an honor to assist you with furry friends! I have no breed preference at all every dog and cat are welcome! I have lots of treats, toys and all types of goodies for you furry friends! We’ll go on plenty of walk, have plenty of play time and everything that your pet enjoys. Your cat or dog are also welcome to lay/sit on my furniture and bed. I’ll be more than happy to take care of your fluffy little beans!

Laila was amazing with our dog Zuri. She was extremely friendly, professional and an obviously a passionate animal lover. She had to work around crazy rain the whole week and was very sensitive to Zuri's silly demeanor with rain. I would give her 7 out of 5 stars if I could. I would recommend her to anyone with pets :).

When your pet is with me they have 110% of my attention, I make sure nothing else is planned when they are with me and they are always in good hands in case something comes up. If anything happens while your pet is with me I will first contact you to make sure you are ok with what is going on. Once the day is coming to an end, and it’s time to put my clients to sleep, I usually play calming/ soothing sounds for animals, using lavender and lemongrass oils in my mister, giving them their medicine if needed, cleaning their paws and face with a warm rag and brush their teeth if requested or needed. Once that’s done and they are in bed, mine or theirs, I glide down from their forehead to the top of their nose, I also ask the owner if it’s ok to put essential oils on the inside of their ears to calm them down if their super anxious or if they are afraid of bad weather. I have a little night light for them also just in case they don’t like total darkness. You are always able to FaceTime your pet as well, just notify me when you’d like. PLEASE MAKE SURE DROP OFF AND PICK UP AT THE TIME YOU HAVE LISTED ON YOUR REQUEST IS CORRECT OR THERE WILL BE A LATE FEE OF $15. THERE IS ALSO A $15 IF THE PICK UP TIME IS AFTER 6pm AND IF DROP OFF IS BEFORE 6am. ALSO IF YOU PET DESTROYS ANYTHING WHILE THEY ARE HERE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EITHER REPAIRING OR PAYING FOR THE DAMAGE!!!! This includes shoes, furniture, clothes, etc.

Do they have any allergies/ special needs or attention/ medication/ diet? I know my dog does and it’s really important to me that they stay safe at all times, i also need to know vaccine history and aggressions along with most recent vet visit. I don’t really have a breed preference.
A typical day
I live right in front of a park with a track so we can walk there or I live about 5 minutes walking distance from a dog park. When your pet is with me I send you a planned schedule for the time they are with me, we may go to get pup cups, or go sit by the fire pit in the backyard. You will always know where your pet is and when with the schedule and I will be spamming you with adorable pictures of your furry friends

Availability
I’m currently in college to become a vet tech and biomedical major but I have more than enough time to do boarding, daycare, drop ins, and walking for your pups and kittens. I also have cats and a dog to always keep them company whenever they are with me. While your pet is with me I always have a pre planned routine that I send to you about 2 days before their appointment. Sometime we go to Starbucks to get pup cups and go on a walk by the river, or go to the beach or just stay inside depending on your dog or cat and their personality.
