Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Laela and I am currently a senior at Western Washington University studying psychology, sociology and communications! Before moving away for college, I spent everyday going on walks and runs with my family's dog and snuggling with my family's cat. Now that I'm on my own, I would love to have your furry friend join me on my outdoor adventures. I go hiking at Fragrance Lake 2-3 times a week and go on daily walks/runs; being active is a huge part of my life. Growing up, I had a large Border Collie/Australian Sheppard mix who was very hyperactive. Because of this, I am very comfortable with large dogs with high energy. Dogs of any size and any temperament have a huge place in my heart! I have around 10 years of experience caring for animals.

Laela did an excellent job caring for our two dogs. She sent us several texts and photos while we were away, and our guys were happy and healthy when we returned.
Laela did a great job with Oliver and Ava. They took to her right away. She updated us throughout the weekendl and made us feel comfortable. We look forward to our next weekend away!
Laela is great with animals, especially dogs. For more than 10 years she had a family dog that was adopted from the shelter with some special emotional needs, and they had an amazing bond. She is reliable and will take great care of anyone's pet!

I live in a rental home that does not allow pets, so unfortunately I do not have the resources to house your pet. However, I would be more than happy to care for your pet in your own home!

I would like to know the overall temperament of the dog and how well they get along with other dogs; however, I have no preferences when it comes to breeds.
A typical day
Because we live in arguably the most beautiful location in the country, I go on walks and runs daily. Most frequently, I run at Lake Padden, the Inter-Urban Trail, as well as the WWU campus. I also love to do the Fragrance Lake trail at least once a week at Larabee State Park. If you allow it, I would also love to take your dog to the Lake Padden dog park!

Availability
I work as a part-time nanny and I have the weekends off, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pet! I am also a full time student, but since all schooling is online, I can do it anywhere. I have summers off from school, so I have the most availability then.
