VetTech/ShelterWorker/CPR/FirstAid

Pet care experience

I am an animal welfare worker. I have worked in 3 different shelters, 2 animal Hospitals and a doggy day care. I have a 5 year Old daughter who I stay home with full time now, so I am looking to still do what I love while being a stay at home mother. I love all dog breeds and I am a bully breed activist. I have my dog cpr card and am very comfortable with first aid and medicine administration. I love animals, and I am promising to treat your pet the same way I would treat my own. I am familiar with training due to my past jobs and would be more then happy to teach your pet some things during our time together. I will be more then happy to share photos and videos of your pet through our time together. If you view my photos you will see that my living room is wide open with lots of open space for comfortable play! I am open to meet and greets prior to care so that you can see my home and yard and be sure that it’s a good fit for your pet. I can assure you that given my 8 years working with animals not only will your dog be safe, but I will be sure your pets time with me is full of play, activities and lots of love. I have many clients express concerns with me about the temprament of thier fur babies and each one ends up being a total gem. I am ok with taking it as slow as the dog may need and take as much time as I possibly can the first day making sure he/she becomes comfortable with me. There’s no dog that wouldn’t fit in well with me and my family, we understand they’re fear and we work with them to be sure they’re tail wagging and happy go lucky by bed time. I look forward to speaking with you and meeting your fur babies! Please If you have any other questions for me or wish to see a review from my past employers (animal shelter and vet hospital) I am more then happy to share those with you. I want to be sure to be as flexible as possible, and work with you and your pet. I am ok with last minute bookings (meaning same day or hours before). I spent so many years in animal welfare I know the fear and concern when leaving your fur baby behind and I want to be sure that you feel safe and happy with all my services. I look forward to becoming a vital part of your fur babies life!

Laceylynn was AMAZING with my dog Teeko. He is an aggressive dog towards strangers so when I booked an appointment with someone else prior to Laceylynn, he needed to be picked up because he was not calming down. He understandably was very upset after I picked him up from the first place and dropped him off with laceylynn but with her patience, she got him to calm down and come out of his shell. She made him very comfortable and by the end of his 3 day stay he was attached. I HIGHLY recommend her as a sitter, she’s super patient and sweet and will take excellent care of your pet. If I ever need another sitter, she will be the first one contacted!!

Lacylynn was awesome with my temperamental mastiff! By the end of his stay he was even giving her kisses! If we ever need care out of the home again, we will definitely be booking with her!

Lacy is AMAZING! She is an amazing person and sitter. She took great care of my 3 month old puppy Nova. She sent me amazing pictures and lots of them. She always kept in contact with me which I truly appreciated. I would definitely recommend her and I will most definitely hire her again. She is sweet and very caring which I love... What can I say I love her and think she did great.

Lacy is a great dog sitter. I’ve hired her many times, sometimes even on very short notices (I.e. 2 hours in advance) and have always been pleased. My dog is a 9 years old pit bull named lucas and he is kind of people shy. from the very first time she had watched him, he has been very open to lacy and loves staying with her. My dog is always well looked after and I trust lacy to the fullest extent. Seeing that she has worked around animals in the past, in shelters, hospitals, and rescues, I wouldn’t want anyone but her to watch over my best friend while I’m away.

Information Lacylynn B. would like to know about your pet

I DO NOT have any breed preference how ever I am a HUGE bully breed Lover and activist. I DO NOT descriminate against ANY BREED! If your dog is FOOD OR SLEEP trained in a crate PLEASE provide one as I DO NOT have one of my own. Is your dog on a potty break schedule? If so, what times do you normally take your dog out for potty breaks? (Please specifiy if your dog prefers grass or cement for potty breaks) Is your dog on a walk schedule? If so what times do you take your dog for walks? How long does the walk normally last? How much does your dog eat? How many times a day? Does your dog like treats? If so what kinds are ok/not ok to give them? (How many treats do you limit your dog to per day?) Does your dog like to have a full water bowl at all times? Do you limit water intake for your dog? Does your dog like toys? If so, what kind of toys are your dogs favorite and what kinds of toys are off limits? (ex. squeaky or stuffed) If your dog is crated at night for sleep, is a blanket allowed? Water bowl? Does your dog take well to affection? If so, are there any areas that should be avoided? (ex back, face) What are your dogs favorite pets? (ex. belly rubs, butt scratches) Is your dog currently on medication? As a former vet tech I am comfortable with all forms of medication. Please let me know the best way to medicate your dog. (ex. cheese, peanut butter etc)

A typical day

I have three high energy kids who will assist with pets, cuddles and love. We have a huge field on the corner where we spend a lot of time, so your fur baby can look forward to some play in the grass. I am also familiar with training so if there is anything your fur baby needs help with I’m more then happy to work on some training methods with them (sit, stay, etc) we are an all around dog living family. With all my years working with animals my kids have been in and out of animal shelters and hospitals since they were born. We treat pets like family and really appreciate thier company!
