I grew up around dogs. My first dog was a greyhound rescue. As he got older his joint went bad so I have plenty of experience caring for large older dogs; who need extra loving! We also had an Italian greyhound. Since I've been on my own I've adopted two mini dachshunds; 2.5 y/o and 3 mos. They are the light of my life. We live in a 2,700 sq. ft. ranch, with several parks nearby- We love staying active and we're at the beach every opportunity we get! My dogs are let out every two hours, no people food, and are walked once in the morning and once in the late afternoon.. Sometimes more :) In between naps and walks there is copious amounts of play time and snuggles.
