Our dog Newt stayed with Lacey for our first time leaving on vacation. Of course, we were nervous, but Lacey was fantastic and put us immediately at ease. She provided daily updates and photos (she caught better pictures of him than we usually do!), and worked with us to make sure everyone was comfortable. The environment was a great fit too - Newt can be a bit anxious and prefers a lower-energy, relaxed space, and that ...

Lacey was able to help us taking in Molly in the last minute. She was very responsive and Molly had a great time. Thank you Lacey.

Lacey is a true dog lover and has created a wonderful environment for her visitors. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Lacey and Shirley, (the jovial Bassett hound/canine camp leader). Both of our dogs (even the nervous one) seemed at ease right away. We highly recommend Lacey and will bring our dogs back for another visit.

Garden Home Fur Friends

We love dogs! Lacey is a lifelong animal lover who is home to care for the dogs full time and will be your main point of contact. Joe often works from his home office and loves to play with the different pups in our care. Garden Home Fur Friends is a place for mellow dogs who like bursts of play with other dogs or who just like to lounge in the sunshine. Your dog will ...

What Lacey would like to know about your dog

From taking care of so many breeds, I've learned that all dogs are different. Maybe your dog just wants to play fetch, wants to sit and chew on her favorite toy, or wants to curl up on someone's lap. Does your dog eat food off counter tops or try to dart out the door when someone comes home? Telling me about your pet's quirks and naughty habits ensures a better stay. I especially need to know about any food, toy, or leash aggression. I prefer mellow or older dogs, but playful adults are also welcome. Overly rambunctious or highly energetic dogs are not a good match for us, which is especially true for larger breeds. If your dog is scared to be around other dogs or does not get along with other dogs, Garden Home Fur Friends is not the place for your fur kid. A meet and greet is essential before your dog's first stay, and I might request having your dog over for a day or half day of daycare before committing to an extended stay as dogs sometimes act differently in the absence of their owners.
