Pet care experience
Some of my favorite people in the world are dogs, and I would love to add yours to that list. As things around work and school schedules continue to change, I want you to feel confident that your dog is getting the attention they need to feel comfortable and safe during times of transition. They likely have gotten used to having family members home with them and sudden changes like this can be scary and challenging for any pet. I am here to offer a comforting presence for them to ease both your and their anxieties. I grew up caring for my own dog for 12 years. After his passing, I missed the love and companionship that being around a dog brings, so I began looking for opportunities to help others with their pet care needs. I now have over five years experience walking, feeding, and staying overnight with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and dispositions. I am a responsible, organized and trustworthy young professional based in the New York Metro area, with access to a car depending on the circumstances. I am able to easily travel throughout the area for you and your dog. A fun fact about myself: I recently competed on Jeopardy!

Lacey has been very flexible with my last minute vacation planning and always keeps communication open. My dog is usually very nervous and I don't like leaving him with new people if I can avoid it but he seemed to fit right in to Lacey's home and looked so happy and relaxed. It really put my mind at ease. There is usually someone home with the dog and they took him for walks every day. She even checked in on my cat and made sure he had food/water and gave him a little TLC. I highly recommend Lacey!
Lacey stayed with our dog for a week for the first time and we were thrilled. Came home to a happy dog and clean house. She was responsive to my texts throughout the week and send us pictures every couple of days to let us know how things were going. We would definitely use Lacey again and highly recommend!
We've never left Bella with a sitter or at a kennel because we've always taken her with us on vacations and this was the first time we were unable to bring her. We were very apprehensive about leaving her with someone else for a long weekend as she was a rescue who didn't have an easy time of it. While she is a sweet, 10 year old miniature Aussie, she does have some "quirks" that might make her difficult. Lacey took all of it in stride and assured us that she loved having her. She kept us informed on how everything was going and even sent pictures. Needless to say, this put us at ease and enabled us to enjoy our grand-nephews christening!! We would highly recommend Lacey D.
Lacey is responsible, kind and considerate. From the moment we started corresponding I knew she would be a great fit for our two pups. She was always quit to respond, prompt and on time, and we feel very comfortable leaving her to take care of our dogs in our home while we were away. We received updates and photos and she brought our mail in each day without us asking. The house was immaculate when we returned home (something that takes effort to maintain with large dogs running around!) We will definitely be working with her in the future and are lucky to have found her!

A typical day
Upon discussing your dog's usual routine and other favorite spots in the area, I am happy to visit any pet friendly spaces in the area with your dog, or just hang at home if they prefer. Space permitting, I love to play fetch and tug-of-war, and other fun activities in and outdoors. If your dog loves to cuddle, I am more than happy to get close with them.
