Hello, I am Melody and I am excited to meet and care for your furry friend. If you're looking for belly rubs, ear scratches, snuggles and plenty of walks for your pet, I'm your girl! If you're looking to board your pooch, I have a historical two bedroom apartment in Westport that she/he will love :) I am relatively new to Rover.com but have a lifetime of experience caring for animals. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, reptiles and fish my entire life and have worked for several years as a veterinary assistant in an animal hospital, where I have cared for animals before and after surgery. Over the past 10 years, I have regularly served as a dog walker and cat companion, as well as attended to pets who were being boarded while their families were away. I am a non-traditional biology student with a flexible schedule and I don't currently have a pet, since my senior Doberman recently passed away :( A little more about me: • I have confidence handling all sizes and breeds • Given my veterinary and biology background I feel comfortable giving specialized care to your pet if/when needed • I am especially comfortable with anxious pups and enjoy the challenge (and the rewards!) of providing a calming experience • I have adopted several pets as seniors and feel that I can give your senior pet the extra attention that she/he needs and deserves Before sending a booking request, please complete your pet profile so that I may start learning about her/his personality and specific needs.
