Kytt’s Pet Sitt: 23 Years of Care
Pet care experience
Hi my name is Kytt and I'm an assistant professor and faculty librarian at Valdosta State University. I've been pet sitting for dogs (and cats) of all sizes and ages for over 23 years. I've had a lot of experience with a variety of dog breeds like Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Golden Retrievers, Italian Greyhounds, Greyhounds, Labradoodles, Shih Tzus, Labrador Retriever, Boxers, American Eskimo Dogs, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Bullies, Schnauzers, Whippets, German Shepherds, French Bulldogs, Golden Retrievers, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Aussie Doodles, Pugs, Yorkshire Terriers, Great Danes, Mastiffs, Gordon Setters, Dachshunds, Chow Chows, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Plott Hounds, Border Collies, German Shorthaired Pointers, Dobermans, Doberman Pinschers, Weimaraners, Corgis, Frenchies, Huskies, Dalmatians, Foxhounds, Treeing Walker Coonhounds, and many more. I've been trusted to look after several reputable breeders dogs while they were on vacation. I've cared for up to 10 animals in one location for several weeks at a time. I'm an animal lover and I promise to care for your animals as if they were my own. I also have a lot of experience with cats and other small pets. I have a very flexible job allowing me to be available for your pet’s every need (day or night) so they get all the love and care they deserve. So while you're at work or on vacation or just need a break - You can relax knowing I’m making sure your pets stay happy and healthy so you can enjoy yourself, stress and worry-free! I always bring my pet first aid kit with me to any location and I've also been trained by the RedCross in Dog and Cat First Aid & CPR.
Reviews
Kytt was amazing! She was very responsive before, during and after her stay with our 2 dogs. She provided daily updates and the pups clearly were not missing us. She stayed in our home and when we arrived home the house was in better condition then we left it in. She was the best and we feel confident that whenever we travel our 2 dogs will be in great and loving hands.
Kytt was fantastic! I am always nervous leaving my dog with new people, especially since we were living in a new place, but our dog loved Kytt and she made sure he was well taken care of. We got lots of pictures and knew Duke was having a great time.
Kytt is awesome! Very communicative and sent lots of pictures. Will definitely be using her again.
Amazing for the first time doing this it was awesome she took care of everything!!

I have extensive experience training puppies as long as I've been pet sitting, especially in potty training, leash walking, basic commands (sit, stay, down, come, etc) I can teach a puppy as young as 7 weeks old these commands (depending on the breed some puppies will pick-up new commands easier than others). I can provide training for your puppy for an extra fee of $20/night plus my normal puppy rate of $60/night. A young puppy must be watched like an infant when they are out of their crate, so you can expect me to be babysitting your pup with a constant watchful eye. I’m proud to say that I’ve never had a puppy have an accident in the house while potty training - but it is a lot of work and requires consistent praise and taking them out every 2 hours depending on their age. I have often spent my own money to make sure my clients have everything they need for their dogs - like training accessories, training treats, special training leashes, toys, even pumpkin if your little pup is in need of some fiber.
Information Kytt E. would like to know about your pet
I have extensive experience with many different breeds of dog, from small to giant. If they have any quirks or aggressive tendencies I would appreciate that information upfront so I can assess whether I'm a good fit for your pet. Any medications that need to be administered and general health information is essential information I be made aware of so I can be prepared to give your pet the best and most consistent care possible. I have experience giving insulin shots to dogs and cats which requires a very strict schedule. It is important to me that your pets remain happy and healthy and I follow any instructions given to me by the owner unconditionally. A written list of instructions is always preferred so I can refer back to it as needed. Rest assured if you've booked with me, you have booked with the best, most trustworthy and reliable pet sitter you’ll ever have! Message me and I can set up a meet and greet with you and the rest of your pet family Integrity, Loyalty, Honor, Awareness, Intelligence, & Love - these are all qualities necessary to be the best pet sitter I can be.
A typical day
Dogs love walking and so do I. You can expect me to walk your dog several times a day during a house sitting stay. Typically if you live in a safe area I will walk them the normal route you take them but I can also take them to a dog park upon request. I spend quality time with your pets so they don’t feel anxious or abandoned while clients are away. I enjoy cuddling up on the couch with dogs and cats that like to snuggle and sometimes just being nearby is comforting for the non-lap dog.

Availability
I have a very flexible job as a professor and librarian at Valdosta State University. On a normal day I work from 8-5 with a lunch break whenever I need to take one. That means I can let your pets out for a potty break midday if necessary. Occasionally, (every other week) on Wednesday, I work from 12-8pm. 3 times a semester I work on Sundays from 4-8 but that is such a short shift I do not foresee that being an issue. Regardless of my schedule and the days you need to book for pet sitting, rest assured we can work out a schedule that meets your needs.
