Hi! My name is Kyra Sims. I’m a psychology major at Nicholls State University. I am new to the area and to professional pet sitting but I have worked since I was 16. I am home for winter break and I need some sort of income for the month I will be out of school. I have had pit bulls and one chihuahua before leaving home for school. I am not a certified vet tech or groomer but I’m very energetic and friendly. I am also very independent and take my jobs seriously. I understand the love between a pet and their owner is just as strong as that of family. Every pet deserves the very best and I will strive to be that best.

Kyra did a great job house sitting for me! My dog absolutely loved her. Not only did she take great care of my pup while I was out of town, she also sent pictures daily and answered right away any time I messaged her. Highly recommend!
Kyra is an excellent dog sitter because she has been taking care of my dog Maggie very in time and kindly. She is responsible and my dog loves her.💕

It’s important that I know about any health issues, diet issues, or behavior issues. I’m not Adrain’s of dogs at all so behavior issues really don’t bother me but I prefer to be aware ahead of time. I sat for two rescue dogs at one time and the owner made me aware that one of the dogs did not like to be touched by strangers and of the dog ever shows any aggression I should clap and Bah at the dog. By the end of the week both dogs would walk up and rub against my legs and let me pet them for small amounts of time.
A typical day
It depends on the area and what the owners are comfortable with. Many owners already know what kind of activities their pet enjoys and where there pet is comfortable.

I am out of school for about a month so my schedule is almost completely open until mid January. Normally I’m a part time employee full time student at Nicholls.
