Pet care experience
I feel that dogs and cats are similar to people. They come from different breeds, backgrounds, and have varying personalities and needs. I have been around all kinds of dogs ever since I was little. I grew up with 3 springer spaniels, one of which was neglected and had behavioral problems. I have experience with large dogs as well as dogs on "restricted breed" lists. I have taken care of high energy dogs along with shy dogs that need time to adjust to different situations and/or people. Plain and simple, I would love your dog like it was my own. Health is of utmost importance to me as it is for our pets! I am a big believer in exercise and play time for our 1 year old golden as well as our 4 year old kitty cat. A tired dog is a happy dog! A little about me: I used to do rover while I was in nursing school and loved it. I am now a full time registered nurse with a rotating schedule therefore my profile is shared with my boyfriend but SOLELY for doggy day care requests since there is a chance I would have to go to the hospital on one of the days if it is a multiple day request. This would be communicated prior to booking and you would meet both of us during the meet and greet. Doggy day care is new to us but we love dogs and think it would be good for our pup to socialize but more so animals just bring us happiness. For doggy day care requests we only accept one dog at a time and it is VERY important that they are friendly towards cats as this needs to be a safe place for all our animals :). Please let me know if you have questions! If there is a delay in response it is most likely because I am at work. Thanks for your interest!!! I currently work full time as a RN therefore can only accept requests when my schedule allows it. Doggy day care requests would be dependent on both mine and my boyfriends schedule. Drop in visits and walks would only be dependent on my schedule. Doggy day care would be at our home in Gig Harbor. We have a giant fenced off backyard with lots of room to play. We also would take the pups on walks around the neighborhood. Overnights are for snuggles and rest.

Kyra went above and beyond taking care of my kitty while my husband and I were away for our wedding! She dropped in to make sure our cat’s automatic feeder and waterer were working. Noticed that the litter box was dirty and changed the whole thing for her, even though it wasn’t what I asked for! She’ll go out of her way to make sure your pets are cared for

Kyra was amazing with our 2 dogs! Our 1 has some pretty intense stranger danger but can warm up pretty quickly when she realizes you’re there to play. Kyra handled it SO well and went above and beyond with our pups! 10/10 would recommend

Growing up I also had a gecko, fish, hamster, gerbil, and a cat named Bently (he had a bent tail :) )
A typical day
This is dependent on what your dog likes to do! If they have a ton of energy then we would do lots of play time with toys in the backyard or walks/runs around the neighborhood. The cushman trail is also great for walks/runs when trails get muddy!
