3x dog owner. 1x dog fosterer. 2x animal shelter volunteer. 100% dog lover! I've had three dogs - a pit/border collie mix, cairn terrier and dachshund - and have fostered an adult, special needs cairn terrier. In high school, I was so called to animal care that I shadowed a nurse in a veterinarian clinic, all while starting my own dog walking business called, Kyra’s K-9 Kare. I walked two dogs regularly, and had frequent stints walking neighbor's and friend's dogs while they were on vacation or at work. In college I volunteered at the Trenton and Mercer County Animal Shelters for 4 years through TCNJ's "Animal Benefits Club," for which I served on the Elected Board. We walked dogs, cleaned cat cages, took dogs through training courses, bathed dogs and attended adoption events to advocate for dogs and cats up for adoption. I'm knowledgeable about proper walking techniques and training cues, but more than anything I have a genuine love for animals. My current work schedule is flexible, allowing me to pick up local walks on Thursdays and Fridays. I'm also available for weekend walks, all day long. I'm very careful, respectful and organized. I follow any rules or details super well. I'll treat your dog, and going in and out of your home, like it was my own.
