Pet care experience
All my life I have had dogs and other animals (hermit crabs, guinea pigs, cats, mice, etc.), and have always considered them my family so I understand the importance of providing them the care and attention they need. I'm currently studying to become a Veterinarian to fulfill by dream of running my own clinic to provide affordable pet care. I'm an avid hiker so I would be able to ensure your pet has the mental stimulation and company they need while you're away. I am pet CPR certified and have experience bathing dogs and trimming nails should that be desired.

Kylie did a great job taking my dogs on nice long walks while I was at work!
Wiley’s nails were long and after asking me if it would be okay, Kylie clipped them for me. I have never been able to successfully do this myself. This little extra attention and asking permission was great.
Kylie went above and beyond for our dogs and even a neighbors dog that had gotten loose. She gave them wonderful attention, took them on a nice long walk, took pictures, and had great things to say. Kylie is knowledgeable and great with dogs. I will definitely reach out to her for help in the future.

I have an older dog who is friendly but I am able to leave her home to provide a safe environment for pups who aren't as socialized or prefer to be the only dog. If your pup would prefer company, she or he will have a friend tagging along! I keep dogs leashed at all times, carry extra harnesses, supply bright orange bandanas during hunting months as well as extra coats during the cold ones, and provide them with multiple water breaks as needed! While in a client's home I ensure that all the doors are locked and any outdoor play or potty breaks are monitored.

Availability
I'm currently a student at the University of Maine but I have multiple breaks throughout the day where I can take dogs on extended hikes, stop in for a pet visit and/or potty break, and go on shorter, less physically demanding walks for older pups. I'm also able to do early morning walks or hikes!
