Growing up on a ranch has taught me many valuable lessons about taking care of other creatures. Spending so many years surrounded by chickens, dogs, and horses has given me the intuition necessary to decipher their needs and wants. I have seen three litters of puppies be born, and have played a major role in their growth and desensitization towards people. Where I come from it snows quite a lot. I remember one winter, I dug a hole in the snow that was 3 feet deep and 6 feet around so that the puppies could play outside without getting too cold. When I moved to Seattle, I was no longer able to keep dogs full time. This is why I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to watch and care for other people's pets.
