While I've lived in Chicago for almost 20 years, I grew up on a farm with all kinds of animals, including dogs, and have owned two rottweilers in my adult life. We are experienced with senior dogs and oral medication administration. We are currently dog-less, and would love to shower your pup with love and affection while you're away! Our house is set up for big dogs, with beds and toys, and a crate available if necessary, though we only use them if your dog is more comfortable this way- we try to stick to your routine so your dog feels at ease. We only allow dogs on the bed (or furniture) if that is the owner's preference! We don't mind but will maintain consistency with your training. We LOVE big dogs, but will happily walk or check up on dogs of all sizes! We prefer to board medium to large dogs, and have (fenced) chickens, so preferably no high-prey drive dogs. We have a fenced yard and live across the street from a large park for great walks! I also have experience with cats, chickens (I have two chickens at home), goats, rabbits and small animals, other birds (parakeets), fresh and saltwater aquariums, and some exotics (geckos, iguanas, bearded dragons), and am happy to do home checks for them, as well as take care of houseplants. We are mature, professional college-educated adults with years of animal care experience, so you can rest easy that your pets are in great hands! My partner also grew up on a farm with lots of animals, adores dogs (and cats) and will be at our home with your pup most of the time.
