Around the Clock Playtime and Walks

Pet care experience

I am 29 years old and have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I've owned dogs all my life and in recent years have become passionate about the meaning of "man's best friend." A dog can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on the training that he/she has received. I have trained my own dogs and numerous other dogs as service dogs. In addition, I do a lot of puppy training, aggression training and just basic dog training. I love meeting and taking care of new dogs. I work with my life partner on all the dog sitting and training jobs that I do. She is also passionate about dogs and has taught me a lot. Together we transformed stray dogs that we found into mobility assistance dogs. We use our dogs a lot in the dog training sessions that we do. They love meeting other dogs. I look forward to speaking with you! You can check out our site for more information about us. Our name is Mind of Dog. Each dog must go through our introductory program or training program prior to regular walks or daycare in order to achieve a balance within our group. About this sitter: Mind of Dog offers care for your pets in their own environment. We know how hard it is to leave your pets when you go away and that is why we provide a safe and comfortable option for you and your pets. We provide the option of not just a personalized service, but also the comfort of knowing that we are a fully insured LLC. Danielle and I will care for your pups like they are our own. We will provide overnight care for your pups and check-ins throughout the day or if you would like for your pup to spend time with other dogs, we can bring your pup with us during the day and bring him or her back at night so that he or she can sleep at home. We arrive at your home between 7-10 PM for overnight care and leave at about the same time the next morning. If you needed check-ins throughout the day, we would be happy to do our best to accommodate your requested times as well. I have been around animals all my life. I was raised on a cattle ranch with pigs, cows, goat, chickens, and last but not least 2 dogs. My first dog was a hunting dog and my second dog was a shih tzu who owned the house and the big hunting dog. (= Since my childhood experiences, I have trained numerous dogs including my own dogs as mobility assistance dogs. I have cared for hundreds of dogs in my own home and in the homes of dog owner. I have experience with young puppies and elderly dogs, big and small. You can find reviews for our company all around the web under the name: Mind of Dog. We look forward to hearing from you soon! Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a mountain cattle ranch with the smells of more animals than most can handle. You get used to it. My first dog came to me at age ten. For twelve years, we expanded our empire together in the woods. His spirit lives on in the three stray dogs I've picked up in my post-college years traveling the country. Reflections on the ways my family fed and communicated with Bowser led me to seek a less human manner in which I interact with another species. I'm not a freak, howling at the moon and digging holes, but shouting "You know better than that!" is not the optimal way to share a concept with a non-verbal animal. I learn the language of dogs everyday by watching my girls interact with each other and with my clients' pets. On the level of human expectations, my first stray pick up (from Arkansas) is now a nationally registered mobility assistance dog who cares for my girlfriend in times of auto-immune flare up. The other two are sweet as can be and always look forward to meeting a new initiate. About my yard My fenced in yard is of adequate size if I were to use it. I'm always out in the peacefulness of nature with my pack. If your dog is a relentless hunter, the thirty foot tie out will keep him/her in reach. My experience administering medication If you haven't wiped bile from your fingers, you haven't lived.

Archie had a great time. If he could speak a human language he'd probably say he had a blast. Thank you Kyle and Danielle. Highly recommended!

These two are real life dog whisperers! Danielle sent me pictures of my baby everyday with a description of what she did and learned. I couldn't ask for a better place to leave my girl. She came back washed and SO much more relaxed. Baby actually walks next to me now and doesn't scream at other dogs. I've used other sitters and high end boarding facilities and was never completely satisfied for one reason or another. I'll admit, I expect a lot as does my husband. Baby is our only child. But now I'll never look elsewhere again. Thanks guys!

Kyle and his girlfriend are truly amazing. They have a real passion for what they do. They transformed my shy dog into a confident companion in just under two weeks. My pup got a lot of exposure to new dogs which was great. Kyle gave me daily updates while I was away which really made me feel comfortable. Great experience!

All breeds are great breeds. During a meet and greet, my primary questions come while observing how a dog interacts with my pack. It is of course important to understand basic habits and health concerns. Let's save it for the meet and greet. Oh, big requirement: Your dog must like car rides.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Morning walks, afternoon walks, evening walks, check for ticks. The routine is generally the same. We're fortunate to live in a place where nature is plentiful. Your dog's sleeping arrangement On my bedroom floor where my pack sleeps. If you have a dog bed, I suggest bringing it along. I also have crates if your dog prefers to sleep in his/her own den. Time I'll spend with your dog All the time, each day. I do sleep. I also generally only take in three to four guests at a time if I deem the chemistry appropriate.
