****ACCEPTING CATS AND DOGS**** Hello, My fiance, Katie, and I have been on rover for over 2 years and have loved looking after over 25 dogs and cats. We were delighted to be selected as one of Seattle’s top dog and cat sitters and asked to feature in Rover’s marketing campaign recently! We are both software engineers and work remotely. Our schedules are very flexible, however we are not yet ready to commit to owning our own cat or dog. One day we hope to have our own, but for now we love gaining the experience, getting to meet pet owners, and we treat dog and cat sitting/walking as a fun hobby. We are both very reliable, responsible and communicative. We tend to update pet owners every day during their pet’s stay with videos and photos. Katie and Kyle were amazing sitters for our cat, Atti. They were extremely communicative throughout the entirety of our cats stay and gave her all the love we could have hoped for while we were away. We would absolutely use them again in the future!
Our new go-to in Seattle. Our dog Sofia immediately took to Katie, and vice-versa! Katie and Kyle took her out to dinner, and Sofia reportedly behaved perfectly sitting under the table. This is something we would not dare to do ourselves, but they somehow knew she could do it.

When looking after dogs, Katie and I are always in the same room as the dog to keep an eye on them, or at night time if they are crate trained, we securely put them in their crate. Katie and I understand that all dogs (and cats) have their own routine and ways that they’ve been trained (eg by giving them treats, positive reinforcement or distracting the dog by giving him/her a toy when they’re doing something they shouldn’t be!). We ask the owners a lot of questions in order to give the best possible service and make sure the dog is comfortable and safe at all times.

We would like to know if your dog has any dietary requirements, his/her food schedule, sleep schedule, if they are toilet trained, and just in general if there’s anything in particular we should know (perhaps certain toys stay in the crate, or the dog sleeps with a blanket over the crate etc)
A typical day
If the dog has had all of his/her jabs and likes other dogs (with the owners permission) we often take the dogs to Denny substation dog park which is nearby our place. Typically the dogs love playing with other dogs and it’s a great way to burn off some energy! We also live close by south lake, which is very beautiful for walking.

Availability
Katie and I are both working from home and have flexible work schedules during the week for daycare, house drop-ins, walks or overnight stays. We are both very active and love playing with the animals and taking dogs for long walks.
