I grew up with two wonderful dogs, a golden retriever, and lab-husky-not-sure-what mix. Since moving to Chicago, my partner, Amanda, and I have been dog-sitting for friends' pets whenever we get the chance. We travel quite a bit and can't have our own dog right now. In Chicago, we sometimes get to look after two wonderful dogs: a miniature goldendoodle, Charlotte, and a (very un-miniature) labradoodle, Bernard. I also regularly walk a neighbor's elderly husky, Lucy. But we definitely have time for more dogs in our lives. Rover seems like the best way to make that happen. As a part-time professor, my schedule is flexible. I live in Hyde Park and love taking dogs on walks throughout our neighborhood's many parks and out to the lake.
