Doggos and cats and birds oh my.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I'm from a dog & cat family that's big on loving and caring for our furry companions. I've been problem-solving for fleas, skunk sprays, house escapes, carpet "accidents," and sneaking snacks. Positive reinforcement is the way to learn, (and "disappointed" voice for other occasions) and I'm very flexible with following whatever routines have been established. Your routines are the best routines for a caretaker. Additionally, I have a lot of experience house/pet sitting for others, administering medications and injections, and taking dogs on hiking trails. My schedule is very flexible, and I'm quick to respond when messaged!

Kyle is the best! He started watching my dog and two cats in 2021 and has consistently gone a fantastic job. Every time my fiance and I are traveling and we get the "But who's watching the pets?!", I have the opportunity to brag about how they are in the best of hands and having more fun than if we were back home. My 5 year old black lab/boxer mix, Hunter, jumps up and down with joy every time Kyle visits and I suspect they are best friends. My two 2 year old cats, Gesso and Turnip, also adore him. When Kyle started watching our animal crew, we had one more cat, Lila, who sadly passed away of old age in late 2022. He had no trouble at all sitting four pets at one time, even though they are each a handful (in their own ridiculous ways). Kyle is a true animal lover who goes above and beyond. He is reliable, responsible, and respects my pets and my home when he stays at the apartment. I am so grateful for him and recommend him strongly.

Kyle stayed in our home in Santa Barbara over the Holidays with our two dogs and our two cats wile we travelled abroad. One of our cats, Bumper, is diabetic and needs two shots of insulin per day. Kyle did an outstanding job keeping everyone happy, healthy and safe. We would definitely ask Kyle to care for our home and our fur babies again. Thanks Kyle!

Kyle is a wonderful pet sitter! Kyle is very patient and calm with our senior dog who requires a little extra tlc for his leisurely walks and quirky nature. Kyle is very kind and responsible and he took great care of our dog and our home when we went away for a few days. I feel so comfortable leaving our dog in Kyle’s care - highly recommend!

I met Kyle at work in August 2021. Our office is dog-friendly, and so I'd usually take our doggo, Hunter, to work with me, and that's where Hunter immediately took a liking to Kyle and vice versa. If I was in a meeting, had to run a quick errand, or go grab lunch, Hunter was with Kyle and loving it. Kyle was attentive and sweet with Hunter, but also listened when we were working on a new command, or on not jumping when greeting people, etc. He took our wants and needs for Hunter seriously and treated him like his own dog, and we'd only just met! When my fiance and I were heading out of town for the first time since the pandemic, we originally were going to put Hunter up in a nearby dog resort and just ask Kyle to check in our 2 cats for us (he'd met/checked in on the cats by then and got along great with them, too). But Kyle asked if he could watch Hunter too, and so we pulled Hunter out of the dog resort and set up what ended up being our routine for vacation dog care ever since: We'd go out of town and Kyle would stay at our apartment, watching Hunter and our two cats, Turnip and Gesso. Kyle is a pro, and always comes by a day or two before we leave to go over emergency numbers, back-up food locations, lock codes, walk schedules, any changes since last time, etc. He makes sure that the cats get plenty of play time at night and snuggles first thing in the morning, and that Hunter gets trips to the park or the forest preserve to run around and play. He'll text us photos of their adventures (we have some great ones of Hunter at Kyle's family Christmas) and always respond quickly when we ask how things are going. He even set up our new automatic litter box when it arrived on one of our vacations! I honestly cannot say enough about how good Kyle is at taking care of our pets, our home, and our sanity while we are out of town. Without him, we'd spend every vacation worried about our little furballs, but with Kyle looking out for them, we can relax and enjoy ourselves instead. Kyle is the ONLY person we trust with our pets, and luckily he's always happy to watch them.
