Weekend Sitter For Your Fur Baby
Pet care experience
My name is Kyle, and I've cared for dogs in my home all my life. I've cared for 6 dogs in my family since I was born, of all sizes. From 10 lb pomeranians to 100 lb yellow labs, and 45 lb mini black labs and blue healers. My yellow lab also had an amputated leg for the last year of his life, so I understand the needs of handicapped pets. Experienced with high energy and calmer dogs, and have raised a puppy from 8 weeks. Worked with puppy pad training and keeping puppy from destructive tendancies, and stopping biting/eating foreign objects. Have given oral/ear medication. Used to walking 2-3 dogs multiple times per day, cleaning, feeding, light washing/brushing. Love running, fetch, tug of war, and general playing. Have broken up dog fights and been bitten before. No fear of putting myself in between two aggressive dogs, and have used muzzles, body harnesses, and face harnesses when walking. Some training with de-stressing anxious dogs when walking in stressful situations (past of dogs, humans, cars, animals).
Reviews
To whom it may concern, In the 13 years I've known Kyle as a close family friend, he has cared for multiple large and medium dogs in his home. The care included walking regularly, feeding daily, attention and play, basic commands and more. As long as I've known him he has always been passionate and loving as a dog owner and if I myself had a dog of my own I would have no issue at all having him care for it.
Kyle, our family & extended family have had dogs almost his entire life. We had 3 Pomeranians until he was about 9yrs old. A few yrs later we rescued a female 1yr old black lab (stray) who required significant dog training. Kyle was involved as much as possible in that training. A year later we rescue a male yellow lab puppy with a heart murmur. This lab also required dog training as he got very big quickly but was still a puppy inside. The Black Lab lived until 12yrs old. The Yellow Lab had his leg amputated at 9yrs old but 6mos later cancer spread & took his life. After mourning both our lab's passing we rescued 2 more medium size dogs, male & female. Mini black Lab & Blue Heeler Mix. One of the rescues has significant anxiety issues from being caged too long. This male rescue also required significant training which even though Kyle had moved out by then, he still participated in the training. For many years Kyle has been an advocate for lost pets & bringing awareness to animal abuse. He has a true love for dogs. He would probably adopt many abused dogs if he could, but at this stage in his life he realizes he could not completely dedicate himself to a dog . Dog sitting would be a good alternative.
