I’m a very cautious and attentive person. So the safety and wellbeing of your dog is top priority. Every pet is different, so I’m very flexible on how you want me to handle certain situations. I try to always use positive training. I’ve walked dogs that lunge and bark at other dogs, in those situations I try to draw the attention away from what they’re barking at or even change our walking direction to avoid the problem. Once, I walked a very large dog that just laid down mid-walk and just refused to get back up, despite treats or anything I did. There wasn’t much I could do except be patient and try to excite her to continue moving. Little by little that is. She was very stubborn. I’ve walked dogs that have tons of energy and like to charge ahead, with them I Iike to do a light jog in the beginning of our walk that I hope will calm them down a bit for the rest of it. So, I’m very adaptable to the situation. Lol. I even walk my cat, who is very slow. :)
