I've been around dogs my entire life. Ever since I had a black lab while growing up in Illinois. 25yrs later I've trained & raised a wide variety of dogs: labs, beagles, terriers, pitbulls, collies, etc. I am loving yet stern when it comes to dogs. I have no fear around dogs, I can tell when a dog just wants to say hi. I have a ton of patience with dogs, but I have no patience with bad dog owners. We live in a dog's idea of heaven. Beaches, hiking trails, dog parks, etc. I love that this town is a dog-lovers town. I have experience administering shots, cleaning teeth, bathing, removing ticks, and brushing. I also have experience with pet portrait photography and pet portrait drawings and I love creating them. A surprise portrait might be in your future! I'm a freelance artist & photographer who works out of home. I have a few part time gig jobs (grocery delivery is one of them), but if I am watching a dog they are my priority. I live in a 2bed cabin with a large unfenced yard. Lots of neighbors have dogs and we all look out for each other. I also have very close friends that live nearby and they have a dog, and they are my support system. I live a block away from the water dog park and about a mile away from the dog park @ Bijou. I go on hikes and landscape photo adventures every other day and have taken dogs with me. They've all loved it. I do not currently own a dog. I am waiting for another rescue to come through Humane Society in Truckee that is aligned with what I'm personally looking for. The last one was adopted before I had a chance to get up there.
