I love animals! I am recently retired with plenty of time on my hands that I can happily devote to them. I've been a dog and cat caretaker-lover-entertainer totalling over 20 years. I've owned 3 dogs in my life who have passed away. Recently I adopted Yito, a Chihuahua mix from Texas. He is very calm and easy-going, loves other dogs, loves kids, loves people. That's Franklin, a client, up there with me and the dog behind me in the photo is Ginger, also a devoted client and friend. Others are also clients. Dogs and cats sense my affinity with them quickly and always enjoy being with me. I know how precious pets are and I take care of them as if they were my own. I can provide you with: - Overnight/vacation care, -Visit and feed your pets in your home. - dog walking, cat or critter care, - playtime, companionship, cuddles, - meals, medication and more, at affordable, negotiable rates. Your home or mine. I will bathe your pet if you ask me to, no extra charge. For a c.v. of my pet caring experience and references please contact me. I offer last minute bookings only to previous clients whose dogs already know me. Otherwise I insist on a few days notice where I can visit the dog in its home and socialize with it, so that it will see me as a friend of yours and I will gain its trust. If staying at your place I will like to move in the evening before you leave so that the dog's transition from you to me is as smooth as possible. If the dog is staying at my home I would like to have it to visit my home, with you, so that the dog sees my home as a friendly and safe place before moving in. I will care for more than one dog at a time but only if they are from the same family. I promise the highest of care but may have to leave the dog alone for a few hours occasionally to pursue other responsibilities. I am retired, and although I do have volunteer activity I have plenty of time to devote to your dog. He or she will never be left alone longer than 4 hours and even that would be rare. I am always in tune with the dog or cat and very sensitive to their needs. They will be fed, given fresh water, played with, related to, walked and kept company in a way that will make both of us happy. I am retired, so I have plenty of available time. I do leave home occasionally for shopping, recreation and pursuing social events and hobbies, but I try very hard not to be gone for more than four hours at a time. Also, this would only be only a few times during a week. I follow a client's instructions. Usually that begins with a morning walk, a late afternoon walk and an evening walk. But these can be adjusted to your wishes. Pets will be fed according to instructions and with the food that you bring. They will get lots of play time and cuddling and sleeping on the sofa or bed. My dog Yito is friendly, but not especially playful and is willing to give another dog their distance if that's what the other dog wants. We will all be good company for each other during the time we spend together.
