Kristie’s place is not a traditional dog daycare. She welcomes our dog at her home. And at the end of the day, the puppy is so well looked after and happy to be with Kristie and her family; that he doesn’t want to return.

I do use crates throughout a dogs stay for feeding, if I need to leave, or for breaks as a dog needs. I have a fenced in area for potty breaks and playtime if the weather permits, and utilize baby gates/play yards as needed.

I do need to be aware if a dog will not be okay in a crate. With the set up at my house I use them for safety. I understand some dogs cannot be crated so that may make a dog not a good fit for my household. I would also need to know if your dog will have issues with other dogs, cats or kids. I understand some dogs can be dog selective so there is never any pressure for dogs to interact with the other ones. I do slow intros for new dogs and allow them to acclimate to the environment as they need. As long as they aren’t super reactive it shouldn’t be an issue, but I need to know ahead of time what their needs are for that. I also require proof of up to date vaccines prior to a visit.
A typical day
Walks are an option, usually we play in the dog yard out back. I have kongs, snuffle mats, and other fun, interactive toys as well as the typical balls, ropes, etc!

As a stay at home mom I’m available most of the time to keep an eye on pups in my home and offer plenty of potty breaks, play times, walks if the day provides, break times as needed, etc!
