Amazing!!!

Krysten and I have never been without animals. Our mom raised us alongside our dogs and cats, teaching us that they were all family members to be loved. When it came time for Krysten to adopt her own dog, I spearheaded the search. I passed multitudes of sweet faces on Petfinder - all healthy, happy babies. But it was funny - as my search continued, I learned a lot about my sister. I suddenly found myself looking for the dogs who maybe didn’t look so “normal.” The tripods and seizure-proned. The ones who maybe couldn’t use their back legs or limped. The misfits. I knew Krysten would want a baby who would probably never find a home otherwise. That’s when I came across a cute little Aussie. He was listed as “special needs” because he’s mostly blind and deaf. I smiled, sent his profile to Krysten, and she instantly began the adoption process. That little Aussie (who we lovingly call Helen) is now my nephew and has a mom who treats him like she’s lucky to have found him, rather than the other way around. You’d be fortunate to have her look after your fur baby. And rest assured, your baby would come home having made a new friend. Well, two new friends. Can’t forget Helen 🙃
