USCG Vet works from laptop <3s pets

Pet care experience

U.S. Coast Guard Veteran | Freelance Graphic Designer | 35th x Avalon .........................................UPDATED 15.AUG.2023............................... *Covid-19 disclaimer* I require that all qualified members of the pet owner's household have been vaccinated. I do not accept cat only stays at this time. Since 2001, I have owned 3 german shepherds, and lived among many "pit bull" breeds, mastiffs, terriers, shibas, retrievers, toy breeds, and others. I started with 4-H in NW Michigan and competed in dog shows for 2 years, earning 2 best in shows and 5 blue ribbons. I have been certified and passed through 2 puppy and 1 dog training courses (separate from 4-H), and have always loved ALL ANIMALS. If you have other animals (I have owned tarantulas, lizards, horses, chickens, rats, rabbits, cockatiels, chinchillas, fish) to feed while sitting, I'D LOVE THAT! I am proficient at reading body language in many animals. Dogs are easy; cowls, ears, tails, and I understand there is a difference between an excited cowl and an angry cowl. I currently have no pets due to my "digital nomad" lifestyle I will be experiencing. This means that my place of work is where my laptop is, so I will be relaxing in your home with your pet unless I need to leave for errands, meetings, or events..if you let me. May I share some time with your pets? My military experience means I'm proven trustworthy to do good work, no stealing or snooping, and understanding that every situation isn't the same. Special needs and rules will be applied individually. Understanding the characteristics and personality of each animal is part of the challenge to me. As much as I would like to smother each animal in love, I understand that they all have their own standards on animal-human relationship. I just want to take care of them and they will invite me to a personal level in their own time.

Krystal was very good with ChooChi, and kept me updated with lots of photos and communication. I came home to a happy pup!

Once again, we were able to leave dogs and house and not feel worried, because we knew there were in such good hands. Krystal is the best!

Krystal took great care of our two Bostons and our house while we were away! We appreciated her communication & photos. All was in good order and the dogs were happy and healthy when we arrived home. They’re only kind of excited to see us!

Krystal set the bar with our first house sitting. She was very attentive to our old boston terrier and our young tabby. She always updated us every day and was very communicative with any questions we had about our how gals' days were going while we were gone. Highly recommend Krystal and we will for sure try to book her for our future vacations

In your home, I will set up my laptop and work on my personal arts when sitting. Maybe a lot of netflix. Other than that...everything is about the pets and what they need from me. During a check-in, we will play for a 30min duration and freshen water with as much outside time as possible. (As well as a snack or a meal, and any meds; ONLY if requested.) During walks we spend 30min wandering at your pups pace. Staying aware of the heat of the sidewalks and roads on hot days as well at the energy level of the animal(s). You will get a visitation card showing you our route, piddle and poo info included! Haha Some dogs are untrusting of a walk with a stranger even after meet and greets, so each visit will be as active as your pup will allow. No matter what they decide, I will spend the whole duration with your dog with as much outside time as possible.

Information Krystal S. would like to know about your pet

Do they need medications? If so, directions should be written out if different than labeled. Any daily schedule? If not, I try to avoid high traffic times. I have no breed preferences.

A typical day

I'll ask for usual routes, but if the dog allows, I really like trying different routes every time or the paths with the most nature. I don't walk too far from the home and really prefer not to go to dog parks in case of emergency.
